Featured Northampton Hotels

Make our Holiday Inn® Northampton hotels your base for exploring the architectural gems of this ancient city and the collection of stately homes in the surrounding Northamptonshire countryside.

Our Northampton hotels make it easy to explore Northampton, a historic English market town in the throes of a booming renaissance. With a history that dates back to the Bronze Age, Northampton is home to one of the last remaining round churches in the country. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre was built in 1100 to resemble a Jerusalem church with the same name. Take a stroll to Derngate street past the decorative Northampton Guildhall, an impressive Victorian Gothic building from the 1860s. Stop in at 78 Derngate to admire its stunning Art Nouveau interior, the work of noted Scottish architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh. At the bottom of Derngate is Becket's Park, close to our hotels in Northampton. The park's mighty trees provide shade on sunny days while the River Nene drifts quietly by.

The rural countryside of Northamptonshire nearby is dotted with church spires and magnificent homes, all within easy driving distance of our Northampton hotels. Visit Althorp, birthplace of Diana, Princess of Wales, and the Spencers' ancestral home since the early 16th century. Althorp is open to the public in summer, and its priceless collection of van Dyck paintings alone is worth a visit. Spend evenings in Northampton at the theater in Derngate. The pubs and restaurants nearby are a popular place for drinking and dining on weekends. For Asian cuisine try Wellingborough Road, where Indian and Vietnamese restaurants vie for local supremacy.

Book one of our Northampton hotels and explore Northampton and the surrounding region. Within thirty miles you can find historic homes, ancient forests and remarkable architecture.

Great renovation has changed this hotel
By DaveyW
I've stayed at this hotel for years under it's various owners and it's been badly in need of a face-lift for some time. Not only have they done that been it's been done superbly and it's not even [More] finished. The reception and bar area are unrecognisable from previous, very up to date and modern, spacious and well laid out. I was upgraded to one of the recently refurbished executive rooms which was equally modern with a great decor, very comfortable bed and well done out bathroom with walk-in shower. This brings me to the only slight negative points. I prefer a choice between bath and shower but there's no bath so that was limited. Secondly, the water pressure for the shower wasn't great so it wasn't the best, this may be due to being on the second floor? These were very small points though in the overall scheme of things. Great place for an overnight stay and probably for a four or five stay touring the surrounding areas. No doubt that it must be very convenient for business people due to its location. [Less]
Nice new hotel
By IOW3
Nice new hotel. Easy to find. Could do with an on site resturant as although it was opposite a Harvester the wait was 40 mins so we had to drive into town for food. Nice lounge area with Sky Sports. [More] Nice breakfast included in a very good price. [Less]
