Featured Nottingham Hotels

Stay in our Holiday Inn® Nottingham hotels and in no time you'll be wandering through legendary Sherwood Forest or sipping traditional ale in the pubs around Market Square.

Our hotels in Nottingham put you near the center of the city, close to the medieval Nottingham Castle. Forever tied to the legends of Robin Hood, it stands sentry over downtown Nottingham. The museum inside outlines the castle's history since its 1067 completion. The City of Caves nearby has been in use by locals for more than a thousand years. Its subterranean labyrinth of sandstone caves is now open for tours. Nottingham was an important lace-making center during the Industrial Revolution, and among the converted brick warehouses in the historic Lace Market district is the Galleries of Justice. Close to our Nottingham hotels, its museum of crime and punishment exhibits courtrooms and jails from the 14th and 15th centuries.

It's a short hop from our hotels in Nottingham to the city's buzzing nightlife hubs. Join the crowds in Bridlesmith Gate, dotted with fashionable bars, or Hockley, where hipsters and students enjoy global cuisine before partying the night away. Some of the city's most venerable pubs, such as the ancient Bell Inn, lie in Market Square, while fashionistas head for the Lace Market's renovated warehouses, now home to trendy shops and bars.

Book into our Holiday Inn Nottingham hotels and immerse yourself in the legend of Robin Hood. Take a short drive from our Nottingham hotels to Sherwood Forest, the picturesque remnant of a former royal hunting forest. Down a footpath just north of Edwinstowe is the massive Major Oak-the ancient hideout, legend has it, of Robin Hood and his merry men. Or visit in August during Nottingham's Robin Hood Festival, when the famous outlaw is celebrated with medieval vigor.

Very good location and service
We stayed here for my wifes graduation and found the hotel ideally located both for the University and its proximity to the city centre. The staff were excellent and we thought that it was very good [More] value for money. [Less]
Great room and friendly staff in city centre location
By RevdEileen
Surprised to find ease of parking, welcoming reception despite busy conditions, extremely comfortable and well equipped room in the middle of Leicester city [Less]
Quick stop over
By JohnS18
Excellent hotel.. We stayed just for the one night but the hotel and staff were great. Competitively priced food and breakfast in particular for hotel prices. Comfortable room and public areas as [More] well. Parking a bit pricey but seems to be more common now with hotels in city centre areas. Nice and close to Leicester centre too so easy enough to go out for food/drinks or a walk around. [Less]
Most impressed
By UKtog
This was a business trip and although I am very familiar with the area and the Holiday Inn Express product this hotel still exceeded my expectations. Lovely refurbishment of the new look rooms [More] and very helpful staff. I wanted a room switch and they were so prompt and pleasant in handling my "would it be possible post" - the room was not correct due to the usual incompetence of the corporate supplier. The hotel is in a business park but a quick 5 minute/slow 10 minute level walk from Derby Station if you come out the Pride Park exit. The hotel is well geared to the business traveller and I was very happy as a single female guest with the visit. Opposite the hotel is a Harvester and a Chiquitos, because of business hospitality I only had breakfast in the hotel (the usual HIX offerings) which was adequate as ever. [Less]
just as expected but with one added value
By wedding guest 3
the hotel was exactly as expected, with one added point, there was a communicating door between the two rooms occupied by the family. This enabled our toddler to safely move between the rooms. [Less]
Great place to stay in Derby
By DrWalt
We found the Holiday Inn Express in Derby a wonderful place to stay when visiting our daughter and her husband recently. The room was clean and comfortable and reasonably quiet. The curtains kept [More] things dark even though the sun came up very early. We would definitely think of staying there again when we return to Derby. [Less]
Nice location

All good although I was disappointed with the rather dry steak pie. Good service, nice views and a quiet place to stay well within the hussle and bustle of the city centre. [Less]
Very friendly and helpful staff
By HannahR
On arrival the staff attended us quickly and seemed very keen to provide us as much or as little information about the area and hotel as we had wanted. The only small thing I had noticed which, in my [More] opinion, was not up to scratch was the cleaning staffs' attention to the walls. There had obviously been a spill of some sort that was up one of the walls, but I'm sure if I had bought it to the attention of the staff they would have rectified this for us. We stayed on a Saturday so there was a bit of noise from passing guests - nothing too disturbing. TV channels are much better since my last stay, and nice to have the complimentary hot drinks and toiletries. Can't fault the staff at all they were very helpful and reminded us that we could choose a late check out, so we did. One of the cleaning staff did knock at around 10:30 but explained that we didn't have to check out until 2pm and they were very understanding. [Less]
Sunday evening - late arrival - PERFECT
By Platinum RA
Great service despite the late arrival. Helped with all my questions and a lovely room to boot. Breakfast simple but effective - set me up for the day. Now the road works have completed a lot [More] easier to get to. I have noticed some reviews not happy with the staff - well from the past 4 visits they have been so kind - helpful and courteous. As an example Sara this morning - such a bright start to the day to be welcomed at check out. Back next week for more! [Less]
