Featured Baton Rouge Hotels

Let the good times roll when you stay at one of our Holiday Inn® hotels in Baton Rouge. Follow the bends in the mighty Mississippi River, immerse yourself in Cajun culture and get your fill of spicy crawfish.

Our hotels in Baton Rouge make it easy to experience the flavor of Louisiana Cajun culture, a zesty tangle of Native-American, African-American, French and Spanish influences. That cultural gumbo is reflected in the collection at Louisiana State Museum, where exhibits range from a 48-foot shrimp trawler to Fats Domino musical memorabilia. Take a free tour of the marbled interior of the Louisiana State Capitol, built during the turbulent tenure of Governor Huey Long and the nation's tallest capitol building. Afterward, wander the capitol's immaculate gardens, ripe with roses and bougainvillea. Our Baton Rouge hotels are near elegant Nottoway Plantation, where it's easy to envision the Grand White Ballroom filled with fluttering lace fans and swaying hoop skirts.

Just minutes away from our Baton Rouge hotels, the Mississippi riverfront buzzes with restaurants serving savory Cajun specialties like shrimp etouffée (a thick stew over rice). Spicy boudin sausage is sold at local cafes, markets and even gas stations. Finish with warm bread pudding for dessert. Downtown Baton Rouge also has a wealth of dining options. Dig into a pile of spicy steamed crawfish and end your evening dancing the Cajun two-step at a local club.

Book a stay at our Holiday Inn Baton Rouge hotels in spring to experience Cajun Country Mardi Gras, or in autumn when Louisiana State University hits the football field. Whenever you visit, you'll find the city's trademark hospitality in season.

Wonderful experience in a unique atmosphere
By kalhun98
This hotel seems to fit in wonderfully with the unique atmosphere of Downtown Baton Rouge. The staff was very courteous and knowledgeable. The room was modern, inviting, and very well maintained. The [More] service was impeccable from the valet attendant to the front desk, housekeeping, and food and bar servers. I would most definitely recommend this hotel to others and plan to stay there again on our next trip to the area. [Less]
Only one small issue to dampen the stay
By Safeday24
Only issue was breakfast service. Each day for breakfast the staff was late arrival and much of the menu is not available because the chef had not arrived early to prepare. This seemed a little [More] amateurish given the high quality of the rest of my experience at the property. [Less]
Special Place

Never stayed in downtown Baton Rouge before...Everything was great at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean. We liked the atmosphere of downtown...walking [More] distance to everything. Parked on street. We will definitely stay at this hotel again! [Less]
Very pleasant stay.

I was in town for my cousin's wedding and this was a great place for our extended family to stay. The hotel provided shuttle service to the wedding and reception - a nice touch. It is located in [More] downtown Baton Rouge, an easy walk to many museums, restaurants, and shops. The property seems to be recently opened in an older building. Everything looks brand new. The room and bathroom were well-appointed and nicely decorated. The bed and pillows were great, very comfortable. Some may consider the room on the small side, but I think the price reflects that. It is quite a bit less expensive than other downtown hotels, but every bit as nice. I used the exercise room during our stay and it was well-equipped and had a TV, water cooler, and towels. I did have a few minor issues. First, there's no swimming pool. Second, our room was on the first floor right off the lobby and was not as quiet as I would have liked at times. Also, they emptied the dumpster at 6:30 a.m. somewhere very nearby and woke me up. So, I would ask for a room upstairs next time if I go back. Next, the breakfast was not really fresh. There were hot food choices, but they were packages foods that had been warmed. There were a number of foods to choose from and I don't consider this a big deal, but I have stayed places in the same price range that fresh hot food at breakfast. [Less]
very comfortable
By dan391
don't usually stay in downtown hotels; usually roadside, off-interstate. the comfort level was a nice surprise, comparatively. only complaint was the $19 "mandatory" valet charge to park my vehicle. [More] possibly due to my unfamiliarity with downtown hotels [Less]
