The staff could not have been nicer. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We were able to check in early, because the front desk person rearranged the cleaning person's schedule to make it so ... For me the room is all that matters. It was splendidly clean. I was given the topmost floor which was really quite. I was able to sleep very well. Great Location

The Holiday Inn is convenient for business meetings. Great value for the money. Staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are small, but adequate, since I'm not in NYC to stay in a hotel room! The [More] Holiday Inn Lobby is very small, which is a down-side if you want to meet up with colleagues. [Less]
New Hotel - Needs to Iron out the Kinks

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel for a dance event. The hotel was nice and clean. The hotel had just opened the week prior. We got a room with double beds. The room was comfortable except the [More] bed closest to the bathroom was literally about 5 inches in front of the bathroom door. You either rolled off the bed into the bathroom or skirted the corner of the bed to get into the bathroom. The room was well lit. The bathroom light sensor, however, kept going off every 10-15 seconds, when you were in the shower. It was annoying. The first night I tried to call for a wake up call thru the "wake up call" button and front desk. Both busy. Thought something may be wrong with room phone. So I called the front desk from my cell phone and they answered. The female receptionist said she would set up a wake up call. I asked her to call me to make sure my phone worked. Seemed rushed to get off the phone. The wake up call in the morning was about 3 rings and did not wait for me to pick up phone. It did not repeat. I could've overslept!! My daughter's event was early that morning in Manhattan. The housekeeper did an excellent job tidying up the room. She was awesome and our room was cleaned by the time we got back from the events/sightseeing. The pool was not in service due to needing a part. Think this could've made the experience nicer for the girls to go swimming and let some energy out. In regards to my bill, when I got the invoice under the door, it had a laundry service charge. I did not request laundry service. I guess because I used the bags to store my dirty clothes? The charge was taken off before I checked out. The room has a Keurig with coffee and tea pods, creamer and sugar. It was nice to have that before I headed out the door in the morning. I inquired about getting a cab to my friend's house (Brooklyn) and the receptionist directed my request to a Hispanic porter. He said he'd take care of it and called someone he knew. I had asked my friend beforehand how much would it cost to go to her mom's house by cab (4.1 miles) and she said about $20. He charged me $32. Maybe I should've called Uber!! Anyhow, beware of that. Other than that, the location was good. Plenty of places to eat. There is a small mall, CVS, Macy's, food trucks and the Barclay's Center down the street. Location is very convenient. Subway stations close by. I would call the hotel "a work in progress." [Less]

Veronica in housekeeping, Marvin and Humanji in dining and the entire front desk staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to make sure our stay was a pleasant one. The hotel is lovely [More] and the restaurant is beautiful. Our visit was after they first opened, so the menu items were limited (and expensive). Hopefully, that will change with time. [Less]

The mattress and bedding was all very comfortable. The room was very clean. The room was a good temperature. The room was very dark, which made it very easy to sleep. The only issue I had was the [More] noise from other guests. I would recommend this hotel. [Less]
