Excellent location and value
By kathylikescake
I chose this hotel for a weekend stay with my husband and two teenage daughters. We loved the location - we could easily walk to the 911 memorial, Battery Park and the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island [More] ferries, and Wall Street. There were also subway stations nearby which took us uptown to Times Square, Empire State, Central Park, etc. The room was small but cozy, and since we were there to see the city we really only used it to sleep! The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Overall we had a great experience, and would stay here again. [Less]
Convenient location comfortable stay

In town for business. Hotel staff friendly and worked to make check-in and check-out efficient. Both successful. Comfortable mattress and pillows and with hectic business schedule, sleep was great! [Less]
Perfect for a business night on Wall Street
By SEHale11
I needed an efficient yet comfortable hotel for one night in NYC on Wall Street for business. This Holiday Inn was well situated, competitively priced, clean, and had a restaurant on the ground [More] level. Staff was very friendly. [Less]
Recent Stay in New York
By jasinwe
Surprised about this hotel. The staff were very good, the price was lower than other hotels in New York City, and the hotel was clean. Furniture is outdated and noise in rooms were a bit [More] much. However, disregarding the two negatives, I like this hotel and do highly recommend it. [Less]
Great value for NYC
By karl 14
Did not realize this was the original Holiday Inn for NYC. Stayed here to see a play in Lincoln Ctr. and to celebrate my birthday. It is in a great location and the room rates were a bargain compared [More] to many other NY hotels. The location could not be better, close to everything. Rooms were large and you can open the windows! Nice bar and good breakfast. My only complaint is that there is no microwave or fridge in the room, which is always a nice addition. Hope to return in the summer so we can use the rooftop pool, also rarely available in NYC! [Less]
Hard to beat value
By Dale 17
This is a GREAT hotel for budget travelers. It far exceeded my expectations. My room was not only clean and capacious, it was also attractive and comfortable. Yes the radiator gave out too much heat [More] but opening a window solved the problem. And yes the plumbing is dated but it worked just fine. The connecting door to another room did let in a bit of noise but was not a major concern - though this could be a problem with noisier neighbors. The street noise was minimal for NYC. I rather liked the open flow of the lobby and bar area with its 60s architecture. As often noted, the hotel location is great and the staff is professional.. There are lots of restaurant choices on 10th Ave. In short, this hotel is hard to beat for real value. This was my first stay but definitely not my last. [Less]
Mr. F.J. Kohler

The outside of the Hotel Needs to be taken more care off.Although there is not much space, the more important it is to have the best Impression. Lobby is a litle small, but that cannot be changed. My [More] room was nice and big and everything worked except the air con made a humming noise when operating (heating). Outstanding and making up for small faults was the staff at the receprtion. So helpful and friendly that they realy made me feel at home and any request was handled with a smile and the will to help. [Less]

By DanRR

Dining is affordable in the hotel or take advantage of great local bars and [More] restaurants. Taxis are also available with ease or a click away using the NYC Arro taxi app. [Less]
