Book a room in our Holiday Inn® hotels in Salt Lake City and discover Utah's great outdoors. Head to the Great Salt Lake with its crystalline salt formations, or schuss through fresh powder at a Wasatch Mountain ski resort.

Our hotels in Salt Lake City put you near the best of northern Utah. The beating heart of the Mormon Church is downtown's Temple Square. Head to the 6,500-seat Tabernacle for free organ recitals and concerts by the world-famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Take in the sweeping Salt Lake Valley from This is the Place Heritage Park. The snow-capped Wasatch Mountains and briny Great Salt Lake are as mesmerizing now as they were in 1847, when Brigham Young and his pioneers settled here. Our Salt Lake City hotels are near the Family History Library, where genealogists pore over the world's largest family tree, dating from 1550.

The treasures of the Wasatch Mountains are tantalizingly close to Our Salt Lake City hotels. In summer, mountain bikers and hikers follow wildflower-dotted trails through the rugged gorges of Big Cottonwood Canyon. Skiers carve up more than 500 inches of feather-light powder at Utah's best ski resorts, Alta and Snowbird. The Great Salt Lake lies near our hotels in Salt Lake City, with exotic salt formations clustered on the shore and kayaks bobbing across the brine. Antelope Island, in the center of the lake, is populated today by a roaming bison herd and migratory birds, looking much like it did when Brigham Young arrived.

Book a stay at our Holiday Inn hotels in Salt Lake City in summer, when paddling on the Great Salt Lake is at its best, or in winter, when you can snowboard your way through a foot of new-fallen snow at Alta and Snowbird resorts.

You Guys are AWESOME
By LifeisGood77
The staff bent over backwards for us. From Thanksgiving dinner, to Football nights, to several copies of study material and rides at odd times. You guys were amazing. I would not hesitate to stay [More] here again for more training [Less]
Comfortable and clean
By PKoger
I stay at this location when I have an early morning flight and have enjoyed the low rate and comfortable rooms. I received exceptional service from Erica during my last stay. She had my additional [More] pillows ready and was friendly and professional [Less]
Great amenities and great price
By BusinessTraveler100111111
My room and bathroom was clean. Kitchen was well equipped. Hotel is slightly dated but clean. Fitness center was clean and equipment was in good shape, but there wasn't much of it. [Less]
Worth the extra cost
By danielmybrother
Fairly new hotel so beds were nice and very comfortable. Pillows on the bed were labeled soft and firm so you could chose which one you preferred. Room smelled fresh and heat was already on 68 [More] degrees so you didnt have to wait for a cold room to get warm. Room was very clean and new and quiet. Good location next to 5300 S freeway exit but was quiet enough. Hot breakfast was good with eggs sausage bacon and bisquits and pancakes, etc. I would definitely stay here again and pay a little more than the others in the area. We stayed here because I had an MRI scheduled in the morining only a half mile away and it was worth it for the convenience of being so close. [Less]

Great Hotel
By RCHarding1
Stayed here many times and love HIE. Good sized rooms and clean. Even though it's next to the Interstate, the noise isn't bad. Close to several restaurants along State street and the Fashion Place [More] mall. [Less]
Like this hotel
By townie24
One of the best values in downtown SLC. Within 4 blocks of City Creek, World Trade Center, restaurants, etc. Nice, clean hotel. Only problems: parking lot is horrendous - spaces too small and not [More] enough of them. If you park up on the second level at the back, it is very dark and scary. Also, the doors are not thick enough to filter out hall sounds, especially if you're close to the elevator. [Less]
Friendly and Comfortable stay

Staff was very friendly and pleasant. Good service, Clean rooms and comfortable. Pool was great. Location was very convenient to desired spots. Will be back when in town again. [Less]
Love the downtown HIE!
By emjohns
This is a very nice hotel, with a new feeling. My daughter even asked how long she thought it took to build, because everything looked brand new. We love the breakfast at the Holiday Inn Express, [More] and this one did not disappoint (though they didn't have bacon -- my favorite food!). They actually had TWO of everything to serve all the people. The breakfast room is large and comfortable. The guest room was comfortable and quiet. The only issue for me was the lack of curtains to block the city lights. The bed was comfortable, the ability to control the temperature is fantastic, and the bathroom was large and well-stocked.
