Featured Williamsburg Hotels

The spirited sounds of fife-and-drum bring 18th-century America to life in Colonial Williamsburg, a meticulously restored and re-created Revolutionary War city. Our Holiday Inn® Williamsburg hotels are close to the colonial Virginia capital as well as Busch Gardens amusement park and the Yorktown Battlefield.

The streets of this living-history museum bustle with the business of 18th-century life. In the 300-acre Historic Area, you'll rub shoulders with men in powdered wigs and ladies in colonial garb as horse-drawn carriages clip-clop by. Iron is forged the 200-year-old way at the Blacksmith Shop and books are crafted in painstaking colonial fashion at the Printing Office. At the end of Duke of Gloucester Street, the reconstructed Capitol is topped with a Union Flag, while formal gardens of clipped topiary surround the elegant Governor's Palace. Entry to Colonial Williamsburg is free for children 5 and under, and youths 6-17 get discounted passes. Or treat the whole family to an afternoon of 21st-century rides at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. From our Williamsburg hotels, it's easy to visit Jamestown, the first permanent English settlement in America, and the Yorktown Battlefield-where George Washington slept in a tent now displayed under hermetically sealed glass.

Dine in the candlelit ambience of a restored colonial tavern. At Kings Arms, Chownings or Shields taverns, you can enjoy the same hearty foods that sustained the founding fathers. Savor meat pies or braised venison, washed down with a tankard of ale. Stay at our Williamsburg hotels and bring history home with you, from reproduction jewelry to heirloom seeds from the colonial nursery. Or hit the city's numerous outlet shops for 21st-century bargains.

You don't need a time machine to relive the past. Just book a stay in our Williamsburg hotels and hit the cobblestoned streets for a thrilling journey to colonial America.

Clean and quiet
By Roadrunner 33
Check-in and check-out were effortless. Was able to get a late check-out with no problem. Suite was clean, quiet, and roomy for 5 adults and 3 children-lots of room for the kids to play in while [More] adults relaxed. No linens in room for pull-out sofa bed, but they were quickly provided and bed made by housekeeping. The only issue we had was not enough coffee cups and coffee for the adults. We thought the price for this two bedroom suite was a little steep. We could have gotten two connected suites at another site for less total cost if we had booked earlier. [Less]
We enjoyed it
By skhall0303
I must say me and my family enjoyed our stay there. I was expecting to get just get a one bedroom suite but got a 2 bedroom suite. Which was nice for our girls. The kids enjoyed the pool and my [More] husband loved the fact that they had a grill in the back. I must say I don't have any complaints. Even though they don't do room service unless upon request we only had to get towels from the desk, nothing else was needed on our stay there. They even had washing and dryer their. Again everything was great for our FAMILY. [Less]
Comfortable bed, pet friendly and exceptional customer service
By LadyT120
We enjoyed our stay at this Candlewood Suites location, however the swimming pool was misrepresented in the picture on line as it was not as big in person. Also, the Cupboard is convenient but I [More] think they should offer continental breakfast. Just my opinion. Great location. [Less]
Great place to stay

We've stayed here several times before, and we've never been disappointed with the room or the service we've received. Plus, it's very convenient to a number of eating places. [Less]
Great place to stay.
By Retired Rehablady
The purpose of our stay was twofold. We were invited to consider a timeshare opportunity with Holiday Inn Resorts and to do some sightseeing while in the area. We found the accommodations quite [More] comfortable and up to our expectations. The front desk personnel were quite friendly and helpful. Cleanliness and maintenance were excellent. My only problem was with the outlets in the lamps. My charger plug didn't have the needed space to be plugged in with one lamp and the other seemed to be faulty. The outlet below the mirror would have left my devices on the floor. I ended up having to use the bathroom outlet. It did the job! [Less]
