Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not great, but clean and convenient The staff at this hotel were very friendly and attentive and it's conveniently located. Everything was clean, but the building is also old and showing signs of wear-and-tear. Overall, if you're travelling for work and just need somewhere to stay, this worked out, but I wouldn't necessarily choose to stay here over other options in the area. April 25, 2016

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel Needs Some Work, but Convenient Location I stay at Holiday Inns all the time for work travel. I don't have very high expectations- I appreciate a clean(ish) room, a mostly comfortable bed, a temperature I can adjust, and a working bathroom. This hotel, I regret to report, was just way under par for the Holiday Inn brand. I'm an IHG member and I was really surprised by how much was broken, or poorly maintained at this location. On the plus side, it was convenient for work, just a short walk through Centennial Olympic Park over to the convention center. When I got into my room, the toilet was actively running, and the seat had been left up. No big deal, I know how to fix a running toilet, but when I got the flapper to go back down (and stay down), and the toilet stopped running, I noticed the drip in the bathtub. Based on the discoloring of the tub drain area, I would have to guess this drip has been going on for quite some time. It was honestly loud enough that I slept with the bathroom door closed as to shut out the noise. The room was at a sort of weird angle, but that was generally fine. The temperature fluctuated wildly, despite my numerous attempts at managing it over the four days I was there. The wood around the desk and dresser combo was chipped, and the veneer was peeling away, but that's not a big deal. The bigger deal was that I couldn't actually close the dresser drawers all the way, because there was a power strip behind the dresser, that was basically inaccessible, but prevented the drawers from closing. The coffee pot was also wired through the dresser drawers, but wasn't plugged into anything, and didn't actually reach the behind-dresser power strip, so that was a fun thing to figure out at 6am. The hotel itself is dingy, and desperate for a facelift. Every time I got in the elevator I felt like I could easily be in there for hours, the way it groaned and creaked. The WiFi was okay, reliable enough. Generally speaking, the staff was polite, but I did have an issue at checkout when I noticed that my personal card (incidentals) had been charged for the full stay, instead of the company card on file, which I had mentioned when I checked in, so it was a bit of a hassle to deal with that. For what it is, a Holiday Inn, I expected a bit more. April 13, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn Downtown Very disappointed with my stay here. The location is great, kitchen staff and housekeeping were very friendly. However, the condition of the room was poor (handles falling off etc...), the pool was not open( I had two very disappointed kids) and the valet experience was really stressful. Most of the valet folks were fine, but one in particular punished me during my entire stay for having lost my valet ticket. This, alone, made my experience there poor. He was extremely upset that I misplaced the ticket and scolded me the entire stay. He was incredibly rude and disrespectful. I really didn't feel valued at all here. This was especially evident because I had just moved from a different hotel to this one and my experiences were so incredibly different. April 13, 2016
