The staff at this hotel are excellent, Angelica, Chantelle and Jane always have a smile and time for a bit of chat with the regulars.
The hotel itself is looking a bit tired especially the rooms and if possible ask for a room that doesn't overlook the front car park as the noise from the A34 is constant 24/7.
The menu is very limited so if you have stayed there on business for a couple of weeks you will have sampled everything.
The spa is quite good but if you go in during peak times it is usually so full there is a wait for machines. The sauna can get full to the point of intimacy so if you like your personal space, be warned.
As a business user it fits the bill, bed shower, food and a TV.
On another note, I am a Rewards club member so not affected but others have to pay for internet access. In this day and age I find this quite staggering as most other hotels provide access as part of the deal.

Very poor visit - hotel not updated at all since I stayed every week in 2004. Worst of all was the quality of the food - I waited over an hour for a burger I couldn't eat as it was overcooked on a cheap sesame bun with a dollop of coleslaw and cold chips. And even the wine order was wrong - ordering a dry house white and got a sweet white which was the dearest on the menu. Room quality very poor and needs a complete refurb.

Staff need to realise that it is the guests who keep the hotel in business and focus on them.
