Rated 1,0 out of 5,0 by No water at midnight.... The bathrooms need some serious renovations. All the fixtures were corroded. Including the toilet which almost made it look dirty. I pulled the sheets back and found a huge long black hair! Gross! When I checked in (on Friday afternoon) the woman at the front desk told me they were shutting off the water at midnight until 6am...Seriously on a Friday night when that's probably the night with most guests. Didn't offer any apologize for any inconvenience, she handed me my key and said there was a letter in my packet explaining why the water is being shut off due to "maintenance". We are at the restaurant for breakfast and I got waffles and blueberries. My blueberries were frozen solid. Nothing like biting into a frozen blueberry. Restaurant was empty and it took over 20 mins to get our food..... 17. Dezember 2014
Rated 1,0 out of 5,0 by Bad food and broken bed We visit this hotel several times a year for a trade show. In the past, we have had an ok stay here. The staff is very friendly, however that is the only positive thing I can say. The bathrooms need a face lift, nasty molding around the tub, toilet barely flushed. The bed I slept on was broken, the mattress topper was too big for the mattress, which left me feeling as though I were sleeping on a pile of laundry. Our room and hallway smelled of cigarette smoke. The food in the hotel restaurant was awful. Nothing tasted homemade, pretty sure it was all frozen and reheated. The pool was freezing cold! There were dirty dishes piled up all around the meeting halls, all day long, that no one seemed to notice. I pray we don't have to go back to this place again. 16. Dezember 2014

Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Great service, comfortable bed I stay at the Boxborough Holiday Inn about once a month. The service has always been excellent and my stays have been comfortable and pleasant. My only criticism is with the TV reception. I primarily watch ESPN and quite often the channel experiences problems (picture gets pixelated, freezes or goes out). Also, some channels I watch are not available (Foodnetwork, Bravo). Other than that, I have no complaints. 25. November 2014
Rated 3,0 out of 5,0 by Hotel needs updating and some staff need retraining. This Holiday Inn is showing signs of wear and tear! It could use some serious redecoration and updating. The coffee maker was in the bathroom and there was no microwave in our room, although we did get one of the few rooms with a refrigerator (we requested one). I was there with a large group of women for a conference. The front desk staff was great, however the staff circulating around were not welcoming (excepting the cleaning staff who were friendly). Many of the staff did not smile and looked as if they would rather be anywhere than there, waiting on us. The hotel had booked a wedding for Saturday evening until 11 pm, not in one of the ballrooms or common rooms, but in the Courtyard! Our room faced the Courtyard. No one could use the pool in the late afternoon or evening, and the music blasted until 11 pm. We were not told of this until our arrival. The restaurant in the hotel served an acceptable meal on Friday evening, but on Saturday when a friend and I had lunch there, our Southwestern salad was missing the beans and roasted corn that was advertised. When I mentioned it to the server, she went and got the manager, who said the black beans and roasted corn was only a "garnish" and that it had run out, so they gave us extra lettuce! I wondered why the server had not come back and given us a chance to change our orders. They had no answer for me. When I asked for a reduction in price, the manager offered us a free cup of soup instead. In the room, I discovered that the little table next to the bed had a coating of crumbs on it, and several sticky rings from previous customers! There was a beer cap on the floor by the refrigerator. I enjoyed the conference I attended but it was marred by the hotel. 20. November 2014

Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Weekly traveller I am there almost every week. When the experienced staff are working, the stay is great. The newer people are nice enough but they don't know how to provide the extra service to Platinum members . With the experienced staff I get room upgrades without even asking when they are variable. With the new staff, i ask and am told no even though I see on line that there are nicer rooms available. Perhaps it is a training issue. Also, when they are booked heavily and I have to call IHG for a reservation (72 hour guarantee as Platinum) the new front desk people don't know what to do and I have to then call the General Manager (he is not gone as well) to get a room. When Mark works the front it all goes well. And, the bartender, Debbie, is the best bartender anywhere. 15. November 2014
