I arrived at the hotel on Sunday 30th November to find the reception unmanned and had a 10 minute wait before someone arrived.
Again on Sunday I spent 10 minutes trying to dial room service before giving up and calling reception, who seemed very unwilling to help but eventually took my order.
Monday I decided to try the restaurant. I was shown a seat and then ignored for 15 minutes, so I got up and left.
Friday I went to breakfast just after 09:00. Virtually no food left and the coffee machine was not working. I informed the one member of staff on duty who seemed very put out that she had to fix the machine. Then instead of good customer service in bringing me a cup of coffee all I got was 'it is fixed'.
I read several reviews beforehand that gave similar views but I decided to ignore them because the hotel was close to where I was working. It will not happen next time.
Brussels may be full of corrupt politicians on huge expense accounts, but the cost of the room and food was certainly not value for money.

Well above average HI and airport hotel. Great staff, pretty good gym, free wifi, average restaurant, good bar staff.

I had better stays at Holiday Inn(s)
They don't have an IHG lane for check-in or check-out for Ellie members.. and i was asked to stand in line when i approached the reception upon check-in although i indicated that i was a platinum member... and i am only staying for less that 12 hours....
the checkout was easier although i had to wait ( IHG lane for check-in or check-out for Ellie members.) but it was less crowded.. and the reception showed more courtesy..
The shuttle to airport was very accurate and timely, and the attendant was very very helpful, to me and others...

Very nice location close to airport, hotel shuttle service was awesome and a very short walk to the train station. Staff was incredibly friendly, clean hotel overall. I would stay here again.

Not sure whats going on at the moment ? quality of food has improved significantly in the restaurant over the last few months but for the last 2 weeks have had long waiting time to get served in the evening. Last week only 1 lady waiting on in the restaurant on her own ??

I used to go to this hotel on a weekly basis , and normally , no complaints staff helpful and attentive.
This time I had to work late , asked for a drink from room service, firstly they refused , secondly they said I had to go to bar , I said I was in dressing gown and not appropriate to go , they then said I wouldn't be able to afford it !
I was deeply offended, especially as I am platinum card holder,
I was promised an apology , still 1 week later nothing , I am now booking with a different hotel chain that appreciates people who have to work late in their hotels. I won't be back there this December ..........what will happen in the new year depends on brussels airport hotel management !

Comfortable rooms with some aircraft noise from rooms on airport side. Daily transport available to local business locations makes this a good choice if you are working for businesses in local area.
