Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by Great Customer Service Internet was extremely slow for the duration of our stay (5 nights), and there was no hot water on one day due to boiler failure. However, customer service at this hotel is excellent. Management went out of their way to make our stay more comfortable and gave us breakfast vouchers and a hand written card apologizing for any inconvenience and thanking us for our stay. Claudia in particular was extremely helpful. This location is perfect for the University of Miami and the pool area is very nice. We will stay again. 26. Mai 2013

Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by Holiday Inn-Coral Gables Florida 05/9/2013 First of all when we checked in we were greeted with a smile and superior service the Hotel was very clean and inviting, our room was very nice the only problem was the bath tub drain which did not drain very well. The location of the Hotel was convenient, close to the University of Miami, which is why we choose it. I would definitely go back. 22. Mai 2013
Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by Drive for meals; otherwise, great hotel When we first arrived, there was a large party in front of us and it delayed our check-in. However, once we got to the front, we were given a free upgrade (nice 1st floor room right next to the pool and away from other guests). The room was very nice; as is usual for hotels, the bed was a little stiff, but this is expected nowadays. What was not expected was the service quality at the restaurant, which we used twice; once for dinner and once for b-fast. Once we were seated for dinner, which was quick, we waited for 10-15min before we decided no one was coming by to give us water or menus. As we were getting up to leave, a server finally came by to give us the expected water and menus and to assure us service would be prompt. It was prompt from then and the food was outstanding, if slightly overpriced. B-fast servers gave the impression that they didn't care about their jobs or the patrons. food was not great, but not bad in this regard. Pool was amazing, too, btw. Completely clean, 8ft deep-end, warm water. All it needed was a diving board to make it complete. Overall, it was a very good hotel. Just maybe plan on driving to meals. 20. Mai 2013

I want to thank Miguel, Rose, Debra and all the staff at the hotel for their warm peronalities and smiles I'm greated with everyday! The front desk service is incredible:) I absolutely adore Yonne whom wa so helpful and incredible in maiking sure I was comfortable and assisted me in getting to work on time the day after I arrived. This is the only place I will stay at in Coral Gables!!!! 19. April 2013

What was disappointing this time was that I was not advised about construction prior to my arrival and that the electric went out in my room several times in the morning when I was trying to get to an event. 16. Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 Great Stay & Staff Check in and out was quick and the staff was friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I had a great nights rest in the beds and they have 2 different types of pillows you can choose from. The pool area is large and we enjoyed a quick dip before bed. I had a non refundable rate and booked direct and had no issues.The parking lot was big and there is no extra fee. I would stay here again. 15. April 2013
Rated 3,0 out of 5,0 by Mediocre at Best The location was very convenient to the University of Miami, and the outdoor pool ,bar/restaurant and staff were very nice. However, our room had a musty odor, the hallways were not vacumned the entire 3 days of our stay, the bathroom was the size of a small closet and there were insufficient accessible outlets in the room. Having to pull a heavy bed away from the wall to access a second outlet to charge my phone (there was one outlet at the base of a lamp) was very difficult. Also, I received absolutely no recognition for being a Priority Gold Club member. 12. April 2013
Rated 2,0 out of 5,0 by Overpriced, only good if you need to be close to UM The staff are great at the Holiday Inn, but overall I wouldn't recommend the hotel for the price. You can find a nicer hotel in Coconut Grove for a cheaper price and in a better location. There is nothing in the area except the University of Miami, so unless you need to be near by then I would definitely recommend somewhere else . Sunset Place is 15 - 20 mins walk away though which was nice. The room was clean and tidy, but there was a loud and disturbing humming/buzzing noise that wouldn't stop and the floor vibrated as well... I think it was the airconditioner next door. The pillows were all the same (even though some were labelled firm and soft) and were all very uncomfortable. The fitness centre wasn't great, many of the machines were old and rusting and some didn't even work. The pool area was nice and the buffet breakfast (only $12 each) was also nice. The wifi was relatively fast and free which was also good. 9. April 2013
Rated 2,0 out of 5,0 by Poor Service at front desk My check in was very pleasing, after that it went downhill. I got to my room and tried to connect to the internet, I was given room 301 which was the farthest room away from the lobby. The internet signal was sooooo weak that it did not show up in my computer, ipad or ipod. I called the front desk five times and no one answered to the point where I had to go to the front desk to request a stronger signal. I was told they would take care of it but nothing was done. Do not accept room 101, 201, 301 and so on!! 31. März 2013
Rated 3,0 out of 5,0 by nice location and facility The location was great for a visit to UMiami. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable. The pool area was very nice and the small, but functional exercise room had windows overlooking it. Downside perhaps, the doors to the room were not very good at keeping out sounds, and having a loud party go through the hall late at night was as if there was no door. Unfortunate, because it was otherwise a very nice property. 30. März 2013

The rooms are a good size, the restaurant has a great breakfast, and the staff wants to make sure you have everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. Although it was under renovation, they could have at least kept the main lobby looking nice. Rated 3,0 out of 5,0 by Registration service was not as good as I expected from Holiday Inn The person at registration would not give me tax exemption on my stay because I did not have a business card. I am a part time consultant and have stayed at Holiday Inns around the state and was never asked for proof of employment when I came with a tax exempt letter. Fortunate the tax exempt group I do training for sent an e-mail the second day of my stay confirming employment. I was told all Holiday Inns require proof. Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Comfortable, clean and nice Loved the bed and pillows, roomy and clean. The hotel was going under renovation and as a guest you didn't even no it. No noise or dust. There is a large mini fridge which is always helpful in the summer in Miami. Courteous staff. Close to UM and shopping at South Beach. I am a Ambassador Platinum member for IC and needed a hotel near U of Miami. This was the closest propery and seemed perfect. My over priced room had an odor and was in general disrepair. The balcony really smelled and had several holes in its walls. The bathroom door was rusty and the bathroom itself old and outdated. Carpet poor condition and cheap quality. Breakfast buffet terrible and overpriced. Location for U of Miami basketball was excellent. 6. März 2013

Rated 3,0 out of 5,0 by No Free Breakfast was just the start I have the responsibly to book all the Hotel stays for our staff,they use my credit card to pay for the room. I took advantage of the Priority Club Card at the advise of our local Holiday Inn Managers when they first offered this program. Thank God! when I booked the wife of one of our top Managers at this Holiday Inn I told her not to worry the breakfast is included and your just minutes from your location. Little did I know that when the Holiday Inn is found under the Holiday Inn Express listing it might not be a Holiday Inn Express and when the hotel has a restaurant you do not get a free breakfast. My Priority Club gold status helped me get my staff the free breakfast they should have had. I was given this by the manager, but for some reason they were told every morning when they got the pass for food we don't normally do this but, we will do this for you. They were not offering something they were not already getting it seemed like they wanted my staff to make a big deal about it, and they we getting it already. The University will not let you go through the campus so even though the Mapquest gave this location just minutes away from the school they were attending they were stuck in traffic for an hour every day. Not the hotels fault at all this is just an FYI. Other than the fact that no one spoke English, the stay seemed to be fine for them as I would have changed the reservation if needed and they chose to stay. 27. Februar 2013
Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Excellent customer service and comfortable stay My co-worker and I had a wonderful week-end at this hotel. The staff was very amenable and helpful. Our room was very nice, with a balcony because we requested "fresh air" and the beds were extremely comfortable. My only request would be that they served food all day, or at least for lunch at the hotel cafe. My room mate said the buffet breakfast was excellent, but I do not eat very much before noon. The local restaurants were not desirable, although it is convenient to walk to a strip mall with a CVS and a TGIF if desperate and without a car. I would also have enjoyed the pool to be heated. Overall, the congenial staff and accommodations, as well as the convenient location to U. of Miami made this visit worthwhile and enjoyable. 8. Februar 2013

We usually stay in Orlando, but this time we decided to stay for 14 days in Miami and had the opportunity of visiting several turist attractions. We were all very happy with this trip and for sure the care and attention that the staff of this hotel offered us had a significant importance. Members from the main desk, dinning hall and cleaning were always very friendly and willingly to make our stay as pleasant as possible. At the end of our stay, we ordered several items from e-bay and the staff at the reception was always letting us know the very minute we entered the lobby that we had a new box. They were all very dedicated and focused on doing their best to help us. We, for this reason, congratulate the Holiday Inn Coral Gables Staff. 7. Februar 2013

I had to hold on for dear life during my showers. the air conditioning is pretty lousy - loud unit and could not set the temperature to a comfortabe setting, I had ot beg to allow this property to provide a microwav and fridge in the room. the carpet was dirty and in very poor condition, toilet did not flush well. Rated 2,0 out of 5,0 by Falling apart and needs updating!! I have stayed at this Holiday Inn for twenty years and will not stay at this location again. The room was decrepit and aged. The phone did not work, one of the lamps was broken, there were blood smears on the bathroom wall. The hallway carpets were stained and the walls/outer doors chipped beyond belief. It seems as if they are trying to make improvements - new bedcovers and lighting sconces, but the rest of the room was so outdated and aged that I think the whole place just needs to be demo'd and start from the ground up. The staff were very pleasant, but couldn't help the sorry shape of the hotel. 22. Januar 2013
Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Great Service, Clean and Good Location When calling the front desk, needing the directions; the staff there was very helpful from the start, and when I arrived tired and ready for my reserved room they were very efficient and professional in every way. The room was easy to find, very clean and comfortable beds. The ice machine was located in the hall and swimming pool was easy access. The location to everything in the Cape Coral area of the hotel was also a plus for doing business near the University of Miami. Liked the stay so much, when I returned a couple of weeks later I booked my stay here again, knowing that it would be a nice quiet, clean, respectful and safe place to stay made my business trip there very comfortable. Thank you and if I'm in the area again for business or pleasure there is no question I would not hesitate to stay here again. 22. Januar 2013
