Rated 3,0 out of 5,0 by So So At check-in, employee did not recognize me as a Platinum member. Overall, I don't really care about this, however there are benefits of a free drink or free points that come with this status which I did not receive. Gym facilities were not very good. Treadmills made awful noises and I was afraid to use them and there was no disinfectant available to clean equipment. Finally, the door did not properly close on my room. The place has been recently updated and the rooms are nice, but the new coats of paint appear to keep the doors from shutting properly. All of this was also shared with the staff. 8. Februar 2014

Rated 2,0 out of 5,0 by no heat to greet so - after checking in around 7pm on a thursday where it was 16 degrees outside - I was greeted with my room's heat NOT being turned on... it was almost as cold in the room as it was outside (minus the wind chill)... not the way to invite me in after a 5hr drive. 27. Rated 1,0 out of 5,0 by Unsatisfied guest recently had the unpleasant experience of interacting with one of your employees , the night front desk staff. He was the night front desk assistant on the night of December 28th. He was rude and belligerent. My card declined because of an issue with my corporate lodging provider. When I tried to explain the situation, he cut me off and stated he did not care about the situation he just wanted a payment so he complete his night audit. He continued to interrupt and cut me off while using words like "untruth" and "swindle" to describe me and my actions. Finally, he threatened to kick myself, my wife, my fifteen old daughter and my six year old daughter out of the hotel. This was at 2am on the Sunday morning of 29th, if I was not quiet. Furthermore, insisted that I wake my wife up who was upstairs asleep otherwise he would have the police escort us out of hotel, to talk to her in order for us to continue to stay at this hotel. After speaking to my wife, we gave him another card,my TD bank card to pay for the room. We were both back up in the room when the phone rang again. My wife Jennie was forced to come back downstairs to withdraw money from the ATM in the lobby from the same TD bank account that the card was linked to,after he claimed that our TD bank card declined as well. This aggravating incident cause me to miss my 10am business appointment with a potential client. Moreover, I check my bank accounts, my People's bank account was a hold for $40, $9 and $25 from the Holiday Inn in Danbury (80 Newton rd). They stated that because the People's bank card was charged 3 different times, they froze the funds. To add insult to injury, there was also a $25 hold on my TD Bank account for the Holiday Inn.This is ridiculous...this is poor customer service. The breakfast staff was incredible and Anthony, at the front desk was great. However, my bad experience with this one individual has tarnished my view of the Danbury Holiday Inn. Imagine if you and your family was subjected to such an ordeal, how would you feel? 15. Januar 2014
Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by Why is the bar closed on the weekend? We were there on a Friday night and the restaurant was closed and so was the bar. Isn't that a money maker? Had to go out to another restaurant and bar accross the street and had to wait for and hour or so to get a table. There is enough business in the area for the hotel to have entertainment and have a full restaurant. The hotel room was clean, fresh, great internet, and all the staff in the hotel want you to feel at home. The restaurant at night is strange. Breakfast was great and the staff could not do enough for us, and listened to several customers complaint about the waiting at the other restaurants in the area and having the hotel bar closed. 5. The lobby and lounge were comfortable and welcoming. I stay at this property whenever I am in Danbury area and will continue to do so. 26. November 2013
Rated 2,0 out of 5,0 by Business stay 1st off bathtub was way too small. I am not a big man but did not feel comfortable at all in it. Then the hot water was more room temp then hot. The one luxury I ever ask of a hotel is a nice bathtub and hot water to relax in. All else shouldnt matter if that is accomplished. For the price of the food at the bar it was very lacking. I dont mind paying 17 dollars for an average steak but there should be more with it if that is the case. Fries alone is not a side. Throw some succotash on the plate or something. The turkey club was a disaster. Again for the price you can actually make it a club not just a small sandwich with an extra slice of bread. Turkey should actually be on both sides and it shouldnt be on the smallest bread slices I have ever seen. Didnt exactly make me want to book my next room there. Cleanliness was sub par. The (im not sure of the term) bed bib had white stains on the side that was obvious. Hate to harp but the bathtub also needs refinishing. The hallway also had an odd smell. Spraying some fabres wouldnt hurt. The service was good and they tried the best to work with what they where given as far as I can tell. 10. November 2013
Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by good night sleep and great service room was very comfortable and clean. desk service was excellent. everyone always had a smile and was very helpful. service at dinner was outstanding and the food was great especially the walnut honey salmon. we were there during your grand opening of your bar area and had fun. television was real good but i wish i had a t.v guide. overall it was a great stay. 31.
