Stayed here for a quick visit to the general area. Hotel is good overall with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was good and service positive. Only small letdown is the noise from other guests banging their doors closed. beyond that it is a good hotel and we will likely be back when in the area.

Excellent value and the usual high standard of comfort and service we have enjoyed with Holiday Ins in all their various guises.

Stayed here for 2 nights with my wife on a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast basis. Quick, efficient check-in and out. Room was a little dated and the mattress was past its best - my wife had no problem with it but I used a pillow to stop rolling into the middle. That said it was quiet and pleasant.
Couldn't find the kettle to begin with but eventually noticed the two cupboards in the desk unit disguised as drawers!! Behind these was tea and coffee facilities and the very surprising fridge! Part of the lid on the desk also lifted up to reveal the hairdryer and a mirror. Very James Bondish!
The prepaid DBB rate limited our choice on the Menu (unless we paid a supplement) but there was enough choice for us for 2 nights. Service was very good without being too pushy. Excellent Breakfast with the chef actually standing there ready to make fried eggs to order. We enjoyed everything we ate here.
We used the pool both days. It was pretty busy but it was a bank holiday weekend, but we managed to swim quite a few uninterrupted lengths. Sauna and steam room were excellent. Didn't use the gym.
Hotel is on the edge of an industrial/company HQ type estate so is very quiet at weekends but is probably much busier during the week. Sainsburys supermarket (with petrol) is only a couple of hundred yards away.
