Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Problem with Staff Requested an early check in. Was not able to get it. Had to change in the public restroom, wait in the pool area for 4 hours. On day of departure requested a late check out. Was told only to 2 pm. At 1:45 I went to my room to get my luggage to leave and the room keys would not work. Had to go to front desk and get a new key. While in the room at 1:55 was approached TWICE by different staff members asking if we were leaving. I said YES..in 5 minutes. On way to airport I got a voice mail saying they were going to charge my credit card for 1/2 day as I was not out of the room by 2 pm! I was LOCKED out of my room...that took an extra 10 minutes, but I was OUT by 2:10. I cannot believe the harassment we got upon leaving. Unacceptable. I am a gold member and was treated poorly. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Upstairs bathroom We paid extra to stay in a King Loft Suite only to find that the only bathroom was upstairs. There is a lot of extra room in this two story suite and a lot of unused closet space that could have easily been a half bath downstairs. This was a major inconvenience. It was also a surprise to discover that this Holiday Inn does not have a continental breakfast. The restaurant on site is a bit pricey. That being said, we did have a lovely room within walking distance of the Gulf of Mexico. The staff was very accommodating. Would we stay again??? Probably not. Too much walking involved. We booked here because of a wedding reception on the property. It was beautiful and the food served was excellent. February 3, 2016

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Average Stay in a Unique Holiday Inn We stayed at this property for a weekend getaway with the family. This property is located along the harbor and just 2 blocks from the Gulf of Mexico. Upon checking in, the staff was very friendly. As a Spire Elite member, we received a complimentary upgrade to a sunset view villa. The villa was very spacious with ample room for 4 people. There was a sliding glass door that did not lock and the rooms need a little updating. There are 2 pools on the property, one the heated main pool & spa which is across from the check-in area. The waterfall pool is located at the end of the hotel and is not heated. According to the guest services desk, this pool will not be a part of the hotel any longer as it will become part of the small waterpark when it opens next door within the next couple of months. Few issues of note, there were dirty dishes from room service next to the housekeeping office on the second floor for 2 days. Although not ours, they did not remove until morning we left. As a Spire Elite member, we usually get extended check-out until 2pm. We I called to request, the front desk offered only 30 minutes. Might as well have said it was not available. At 31 minutes past check-out, they were calling our room wanting to know if we were leaving. When I got to the front desk, I inquired about the extended check-out, The representative on duty said it's on a first come, first serve basis no matter what your IHG status was. He stated that they have to get the rooms turned as quickly as possible for the next guests to arrive. When I checked availability for that night, all types of rooms were available. All in all, the stay itself was fine other than the minor issues and the checkout process could have went a whole lot better. The property will need some updates before long. January 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Large rooms, many amenities We had a great time while staying here in Florida. Weather was chilly so could not enjoy the beach but it is just a short walk away. Pool is not heated either but did get a chance to enjoy some poolside relaxation. January 22, 2016
