Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by London break The Holiday Inn is beautifully central to London, less than 5-mins walk to Oxford Street. It is worth staying just for this feature, but in Welbeck Street it is quiet and peaceful with no outside disturbances, even though there were road works ongoing outside. Perhaps getting a room away from the street helped. Keep that in mind. The reception service was very friendly, recognising my IHG membership. The gym was out of order, which is normally one of my first ports of call, but not needed on this occasion. When normal activities are out of order, this should be clear in making the booking, as it does not help a hotel's reputation if, on arrival, you find (not told) that the gym, for example, is out of order. This is a common hotel problem. I only had one bite to eat, an American cheese burger, but it was fine. Bar wine wasn't too good and probably needs another look at by the hotel. Room was fine and my wife and I enjoyed our short stay 25. November 2014
Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Great Location and Staff This location is great if you need to stay in Oxford Circus area. Lots of shopping and restaurants in the area. The front desk staff is kind and helpful, I always get a Platinum room upgrade so my room here is always a better one, as London hotel rooms are typically pretty small. Clean and comfortable bed too. Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Best Weekend My friend and I booked this to take our daughters christmas shopping. The hotel location was perfect, close to the shops and the hustle and bustle but in a quiet location without having to walk too far! The staff on Saturday and Sunday morning were helpful, friendly and just lovely, however the staff on Sunday evening were not quite as helpful, they said they could not call us a cab and that we would have to walk to Oxford Street and get one, which was easier said than done with 2 exhausted kids, suitcases and shopping bags, and pouring rain! We did it though eventually so not a real problem just a bit of a pain. Overall we had the best time and will be returning to this hotel every time we go to London for a shopping trip. Thank you Holiday Inn for a fantastic weekend and a memorable experience our kids had the best time!! 17. November 2014
Rated 1,0 out of 5,0 by Worst Stay in IHG Hotels ever !! It was the worst stay ever in IHG Hotels ! The reception staff generally are very impolite especially a traniee whose name is Tudor ( I think). Most of the front desk staff lack basics of customer service. They don't know how to smile at least except one lady! The other 2 Italian ladies were rude too (I could tell that they are Italian from the badge which shows the flag). The hotel generally should be 3 stars or less from all aspects ! 13. November 2014
Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Great Service - Good Location We stayed two nights at this hotel visiting London with our young grandson. The staff were so friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Location was very good, close to Oxford Circus underground and ideal for visiting all the sights. Only minus point was the work that was being done in the area with loud machinery waking us at 8.00a.m. Not a great problem when you have so much to do. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it. 12. November 2014
Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by customer service The front desk and bar employees provided great customer service, always greeted as entered property and made to feel at home. Ate in bar area and did not use restaurant but did look at menu and buffet in dining room and looked very good, just not what we wanted that evening. 11. November 2014
