Family visit to Manchester as attending a music festival at the Royal Northern College. Initial impression of the hotel area was not a positive one but we had failed to find any other available hotels for this busy weekend.
The hotel itself had a nice interior and friendly staff. We had a 'family room' which consisted of a double and a single pull out bed. I would not normally pay this much for a family room but we needed to be in the area for the weekend as our son was part of a music festival.
Its a good walk into the city and we were happy for this but would not be any good for young children /elderly. There was a taxi service from hotel .
Generally it was fine although we would not stay in this area again and it was very expensive.

The hotel is functional, and provides comfortable accommodation. Compared with other Holiday Inns the rooms are a little cramped, and apart from the restaurant and bar, there are few other amenities. The staff were very obliging and responded quickly to any requests. The restaurant menu is somewhat limited and a bit pricey, although breakfast was of a high standard.
