I'd had a long drive and the team welcomed me by name and really delighted me. The warmth and enthusiasm was infectious, good job people!

Charged for a glass of wine that I never requested or recieved.
As I was in a hurry to leave I didn't check my bill at the time of check out .
No bill posted through the door and no offer to check it before it was printed.
The gentleman that was dealing with me was also trying to deal with a member of staff that clearly required help therefore I did not get full attention.
When finally checking my bill I realised that there was a charge that I never incurred.
I called the hotel and was informed that the additional charge was for a glass of wine which I certainly never received or requested.
The person dealing with the call informed me that the finance person would contact me next day (as it was after 6pm whenI called).
Unfortunately no one has called and it's only a small amount of money so perhaps no one cares.
As a result of this experience I can only conclude this to be a poorly managed hotel.

This is always a nice and easy hotel to get to and generally a good stay with clean rooms, good breakfast and clean rooms.
Sadly the bar area is uncomfortable and staff either very good or poor in communication and happiness stakes.
I will return as the value for money is good although if you do have to go to town and don't want to drive it is a fair way out, the downside of this visit was that the bar/lounge area was taken over by a wedding on the Saturday but no-one mentioned this at check-in on the Friday and Six Nations Rugby was missed whilst taxiing it into town.
The majority of the staff are good but too may of them let the hotel down as generally it is a good stop-over and very good value if you get the right rates.
