Hotel is close to M6 and quiet, even though it was primarily business people staying. Nice evening meal and good sized pool. The only problem was electrical cabling was exposed in the rooms ceiling.

I picjked this hotel as it was near the motorway and broke my journey. On arrival at the hotel the building is very dated. I think many years ago it was a Poste House hotel. On checkin I was allocated a room which I found out was the furthest from reception and could only be accessed by walking uo small flights of stairs and along several corridors. The good thing about it was it was quiet. The rooms inside looked very dated. I think the bathroom had been given bit of a refurbishemnt but was not up to the standard of other hiliday inns I have stayed in. I booked on a DBB rate which I did not realise at the time was a seperate menu from the main one. They had an indian buffet on which I opted for but was a big disappointment with regard to quality of food. I ordered my pudding and after what seemed quite a while had to ask where it was. I was disappointed at breakfast was allocated table and buffet explained. Nobody bothered to inquired if I wanted tea or coffee. Everybody seemed to have to ask.
The internet was very slow this was probably due to the fact I was so far away from reception. The only positive was the bath towel was a nice size and was fluffy.

Excellent service at the hotel. But the rooms are outdated and can do with a major refurbishment.
