Holiday Inn Plymouth has created the best experience for me for some time.
The room and facilities could not have been better, with fantastic views over to The Hoe and outward to Plymouth Sound.
Service and attention by all the staff second to none even at breakfast when the Hotel was extremely full.
Would recommend this Hotel to all my friends.
Well done to all staff.

The staff in Plymouth really care about their hotel I'm sure they are looking forward to the refurb so they can be even more proud. This will be one of the best hotels to stay in Plymouth soon!

A typical Holiday Inn experience. Staff generally nice and helpful, room secure and car park fine. The view from the 9th floor was very nice.
My room seemed a bit gloomy. There were no overhead lights and the bedside light (there was only one) was broken, which made working a bit awkward. It all seemed a bit tired. One wall had a large piece of wood nailed to it and there were two connecting doors - something that always disconcerts me.
The bathroom was ok although the bath was stained - not with dirt but a yellowish tinge - and the shower head was on its last legs so that showering was like being hosed down with warm water. The towels were ok but, as usual with Holiday Inn, reeked of suphur (I assume from the cleaning process).
I had room service, which was efficient, although for the price I expected something a bit better. I had a Caesar salad which was horrid - just lettuce and croutons in a foul vinaigrette, no Parmesan at all. The glass for my beer had greasy fingerprints on (not mine!).
The in-room cups I am sure have never seen the inside of a dishwasher, having tea or coffee stains at the bottom.
There was far too much noise from the corridors and slamming doors.
I have stayed in quite a few Holiday Inns and this one was no exception. All these faults I have experienced at all other Holiday Inns. I have raised them before, over the years, but nothing seems to change.
