Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by A pleasant surprise! This hotel goes above and beyond all of my criteria! Far too many properties seem to fail either on cleanliness, eco-friendliness or overall competency, so I was delighted to rediscover this gem in Rochester. The pool and workout areas were lovely, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast had real fruit! Even better, they use REAL dishes!! The lobby had fruit and coffee for travelers in a hurry. And, in the evenings, they had a buffet that came with a free beverage. Again, the quality was excellent. I only wish I had been around the other evenings. Every day, I got a newspaper at my door, and when I checked out, the bill was right there under the door. This simple courtesy is being overlooked by too many IHG properties. The staff members were courteous and helpful. Thank you, Holiday Inn, Rochester for delivering a quality experience! 25. Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Lovely getaway comfortable bed and great breakfast Our stay was lovely. The room was great gave a getaway feel but many of the amenities you wished were at home. The pool was clean, heated and towels warm. Bathroom clean, and staff very helpful. Great shuttle service especially Saturday evening staff. We liked it so much we extended our stay. Because it was so close to everything we stopped by the mall using the shuttle to grab more clothes to head straight to work from there in. I would definitely stay again. 22. April 2015

Somebody call Anthony Melchiorri of Hotel Impossible (the hotel has lots of staff members working, all with a smile and willingness to make my stay enjoyable). Call Jon Taffer of Bar Impossible (They are losing money giving out a free drink with dinner) and be sure to call Robert Irvine of Restaurant Impossible (their food costs must be higher than 30% of revenue -- dinner and breakfast were free) This hotel is one of my favorite in the chain. I almost hate to share this gem with other for fear that it will always be booked to capacity and when I visit Rochester I won't be able to get a room! Call me selfish, but this hotel is really that good! This hotel prides itself on delivering a great product and making the guest feel like they got much more than they paid for. Every visit I have had to this hotel has been better than the last, and with multiple stays all being great, my expectations are set very high! Like every visit before, I was treated to a complimentary dinner, a complimentary drink and a breakfast in the morning. The food quality was really good, not exceptional (is hotel food ever exceptional?). But the fact that it was complimentary and delivered with a smile....priceless. The hotel is always willing to do help me and staff members take the time to talk with me and give me a quality answer rather than a rushed answer. Just how good is this hotel? I very well may stay here next time I visit Buffalo and drive the hour+ to Buffalo for meetings so that I can stay at this hotel. The morning clerk (works construction when not working at the hotel) should be going form hotel to hotel to coach front desk people on what good customer service looks like. He is exceptional and really promotes the hotel and the owners. The evening staff in the restaurant went out of their way to make sure I was happy with my free dinner. Their customer service exceeded the service I get at $50 per meal restaurants. If I lived within driving distance of this hotel, I would bring my entire staff to the hotel for a lesson on how to run a business and how good customer service really looks. Keep up the great work! Bonus was having buffet dinner/drink and breakfast included. Would definitely recommend and stay again. 18. April 2015
Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Clean, quiet, comfortable. The hotel staff was very friendly and willing to assist. The room was quiet and comfortable. I was concerned about noise, since the room was at the end of the hall by the elevator, but there was no issue with noise. After we had checked out, we realized we had left something in the refrigerator and called the hotel to determine if it had been thrown away. The housekeeping staff retrieved the item for us and held it until we could come back for it. 15. April 2015
