Great location easy walking to Aquatic park, Pier 39 and in between. Clean and comfortable room. Good value. We spend a long weekend at SF and my girls had fun at the beach and pier. It's so relaxing and stress free NOT having to drive to places. Only complain is the street noise in the middle of night, but I guess there is nothing much one can do, this is the most popular area for tourists after all. I forgot to check whether they have double pane windows - I assumed that they do.

Its all about the location. This hotel is very well situated. A few minutes walking distance from the fisherman's wharf, i was able to go buy the tickets, get a ferry ride, tour to the golden gate bridge and the alcatraz. Restaurants and Bus tour guides are also on a walking distance.
Good spacious rooms. Keep in mind, unlike many other Holiday Inns, breakfast isn't free here which came to me as a surprise in the middle of my breakfast.
Being a member of IHG hotels, i was given a warm welcome and was told that i am entitled to get free newspapers. However, easy floor had a bunch of daily newspapers lying there for people to read anyways. So i didn't really feel special.
Regardless, i had a good time with friends. I think the location is its major advantage.

Most experienced travelers know how to avoid dirty hotels. So, if the place is clean, what is left?
Food (Chef & wait staff)
Bed (Housekeeping staff)
Service (Front Desk and Concierge staff)
The staff at this hotel is friendly, makes you feel like they are happy to see you. They want to help. So, everything is staff and staff is a reflection of their leader.
The leader must be great here because the staff is great here. I will be back to stay by the bay on many future occasions.

All good (room, service, food and location except for remote building where my friends got stuck), nice room particularly with IHG room upgrade but terrible wifi , practically no internet connection so I do not recommend

Hotel is in a great location. Breakfast is very expensive, but we just went to local diners. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable.
My main complaint was the wifi service. It was very sketchy just trying to check emails or just trying to access the internet. I kept getting on and kicked off. We had to go outside our room in the hallway to make a wifi call and it was still slow. I talked to many people at the front desk about this and even talked with their technical center somewhere on the other side of the world and still could not get it resolved. The whole problem stems for the fact that they do not have enough internet infrastructure in this hotel. They only on have the routers on the 2nd and 4th floor. Since the hotel is 5 floors, this is not enough. A simple solution would be wifi boosters throughout the hotel until they solve the root infrastructure problem. I even passed the is recommendation to the staff. And the reply was the outside tech company was working on this. I just got the feeling that the staff never took ownership of the problem. This one really frustrated me. In summary, if you can live without wifi, then this hotel would be ok for you. If you cannot live without wifi, look for another one or at least book your room on the 2nd or 4th floor.

Great experience again. Highly recommend if you are needing to be in the Fisherman's Wharf area.

I would only recommend staying here as a tourist if you ABSOLUTELY need to stay by Fisherman's Wharf. This is not convenient for any business traveler, dingy rooms, dated bathrooms and subpar amenities. Breakfast at the hotel is obscenely priced.
