Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 No frills great beach hotel - But the food was bad
I was quite pleased with almost everything except the food and the lobby computer. There was a sign on the computer limiting its use to printing boarding passes only - Very strange. The beach was great with ample chaise lounges and beach towels. Don't expect powdery sand because this part of Florida is not for bare feet - tons of shells. The room was cheery, clean, modern and had outside entrances so your car was quite close to your door. The layout of the rooms is typical 1960's Holiday Inn, but I liked that because it added to the overall laid back atmosphere of the Inn. This hotel only has 98 rooms which meant fewer amenities but for me it was perfect because my main interests were a great room, the beach and the pool. There's a great Jerry's supermarket just minutes away, and it has a restaurant inside the store.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Randall12345678 Holiday Inn Hotel? No, Motel
This Holiday Inn uses an old, outdated cheap motel layout. The rooms are small, the bathrooms are microscopic. The bed was less than comfortable. There was a lot of stagnant water around the pool, it smelled like raw sewage. The electricity was lost a few times during our stay. For you light sleepers, the AC units are VERY loud and runs non stop. In addition to the noise generated by the AC, these motel rooms use dehumidifiers that rival the sound of a jet engine. The biggest peeve, this Holiday Inn couldn't care less about my Spire Elite status, no late check out was granted. If you're looking for a great island stay, avoid this property. As a Spire Elite I am absolutely disgusted with my stay.
My fiancé and I had dinner at the Starfish Grille, other food was FANTASTIC, and our French waiter was awesome!

Great location, good value, wonderful access to beach with clean pool and nice deck area. Adequate parking which is always an issue on Sanibel Island
