We booked a room for 2 adults and a child with dinner and breakfast,and paid upfront with an additional 25 pounds to cover charges to the room. The hotel seemed good, nice room,helpful staff, we enjoyed the pool and gym, dinner was ok apart from a grumpy cook being rude, we had 6 drinks which would have been covered by the extra £25 payment. We would have recommended this hotel. However, a few days later we found an additional charge of over £85.00 had been made to our bank account, called the hotel on the premium rate number and someone promised to call us back, there was no callback. We emailed ihg customer relations who promised a response within 48 hours from the hotel, 49 hours later no response. Called the premium rate number again and the person at reception said they would call back in half an hour, 3 hours later and again no call back.
We have not even had a courtesy call to say someone is looking in to it, just being ignored.
If you want an experience like this then go ahead and book

we had an overnight stay with many family members joining us from around the country for a wedding. We were allocated an area of the dining room so that we could all eat breakfast together. Staff were very efficient and attentive.

The room was good with plenty of room. The food in the restaurant was poor with no vegetables or fresh salad on offer in the buffet.
Reception was welcoming and efficient
