dreadful nights sleep on a very poor mattress which felt like it was shaped like a V, when bought to the receptions attention I was told that it had been checked and was acceptable, I got no sleep at all that night, hardly acceptable.

The rooms are newly refurbished, however, the chair supplied is more the size of a children's chair. The coffee and tea facilities are not refreshed. The air conditioning is difficult to et just right, the fridge does not work. Although the breakfast is nice it is expensive but would book in advance to save money. The staff are very accommodating and pleasant a pity the room and facilities did not live up to their professional manner!

The overall appearance of the hotel is good. We were able to get a parking space, which was excellent. Check in and check out gave us problems in terms of the staff attention and clarity of information. Staff should not allow themselves to be interrupted when dealing with one guest to attend to another. It appears rude. Also we were charged for breakfast that we did not have because of misinformation about vouchers that we did not use. We had to argue in the lobby to have this charge removed from our bill. Only one of the two lifts was working during our two night stay and we were on the 4th floor so needed to use the lift. The room was quite small but very clean and comfortable. We were glad to have room service on 2 occasions but the price of very basic sandwiches and drinks was extremely high. The lunch menu was quite restricted but the service good and the food good too.
