Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by Central location, Value, Pool and Friendly Staff We were pleased with our stay at this hotel. It provided convenient location, adjacent to the Ryerson University's Mattamy Athletic Centre in Maple Leaf Gardens. That was where we attended an RU event. The rooms were clean with small fridge and coffee maker. The bath room was updated with a glass shower enclosure which replaced bathtubs. Beds and pillows were comfortable, firm mattress. I enjoyed swimming pool access early in the morning and Starbucks Coffee right at the ground floor.The room was small by North American standards, snugly fitting two double beds and not much else. The underground parking lot (addtn'l parking fee) is a tight area to maneuver around.. Both the hallway door and the room darkening blinds can be improved as both allow a good degree of light into the room. I choose the hotel for location and value and would recommend it based on our experience. 11. April 2015
Rated 3,0 out of 5,0 by Too bad about the parking garage We had a great visit at the Holiday Inn, but the parking garage is a disaster waiting to happen. It was overcrowded with large vehicles parked in the roadways so that there was barely room to drive through. From our spot, it was next to impossible to get at the right angle to get the parking ticket validated, and then get close enough to the barricades for the sensor to kick in. We had problems exiting every time. When we arrived, there was an elderly woman stuck on the down ramp as she hadn't been able to get her car at the right angle to make the barriers go up. We might stay at the hotel again, but we would NEVER use the parking. Too bad, great hotel otherwise. 10. April 2015

The surrounding area of the hotel was not something I felt comfortable with walking around by myself at night - and I travel quite a bit and generally never feel unsafe. The quality of the restaurants in the area aren't anything great, but easily accessible from the hotel. 10. April 2015
Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by good experience Outside appearance of hotel was offputting and a little hard to find. But the location was good, and inside, the lounge area was pleasant and the staff accommodating. The bedding, room temperature and little noise made for comfortable sleeping. 8. April 2015

I love the comfort and relaxation that my room brought me.. not to mention the cleaning staff who disturbed my sleep, knocking and shouting if room was occupied.. Other than that, i enjoyed my stay at the hotel and looking forward to be staying there soon.. Keep up the good work guys!!! 7. April 2015
Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by A pleasant stay The staff at this location are so friendly. The rooms were clean and the bedding was very comfortable. Overall, we had a great stay, but there are two minor issues that we encountered. On the first night of our stay, the alarm clock on the bedside table went off in the middle of the night! It must have been set by the previous guest. It would be great if checking the alarm was part of the room preparations. The second was the temperature of the mini fridge - we purchased juice and blueberries for our fridge and they were frozen in a few hours. We couldn't figure out how to turn down the temperature. We had a very busy schedule during our two-day stay so please forgive us for not raising these issues with the front desk. We would return! 7. April 2015
