Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Customer Service We recently stayed at the hotel as it was straight off the motorway and really easy to get to after a long drive. It also meant that we could get to Sportcity with no problem the next morning. Customer Service was excellent, staff could not have been more helpful especially when we advised them we may arrive late. The food at dinner was delicious and the portions very generous. The room was lovely with a big television and the bathroom was amazing. We felt the hotel offered very good value and would not hesitate to recommend it to others. April 20, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by It all went wrong at breakfast time ! Let’s do the good bits first. The staff were certainly very professional, check-in was quick and easy and the room was comfortable and clean. So, you could be forgiven for thinking that would be all the boxes ticked but alas that’s not the case. Whilst reception looks attractive enough the corridors are very dated; think 1980’s polystyrene ceiling tiles and turquoise paint everywhere. However, the biggest issue came on the Monday morning that we came down to find no breakfast. Apparently as the occupancy rates were low they couldn’t be bothered to cook and instead said that they would cook to order. The hotel seriously expected me to pay £15, sit and wait for 20 minutes whilst they cooked my breakfast with no opportunity to pop back to the buffet if I fancied anything else. I’ve never come across this before and even the cheapest Express provides guests with some form of breakfast. I suggest you take note of postcode WA2 8QD which is the nearest Toby Carvery which provides food regardless of the number of people who walk through the door…And perhaps you might opt to stay in the adjacent hotel which is what I’ll do next time I stay in the area. Not recognised as a gold member but friendly enough reception bar and restaurant bland but then we didn't starve. breakfast buffet ok but once again average. April 4, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by In need of a refresh The hotel is in a big need for a refresh, the feel is very dated and as such it is scruffy and has the feeling of being neglected overall. The food has improved though it is still a bit hit and miss, the curry of the week, was more like a casserole than a masala. The hotel entrance is not bright nor welcoming and the same can be said for the bar and restaurant, which seems to have a mix of furniture. The ramp down to the bar is steep and actually hard to navigate as an amputee. The hotel does have some friendly staff and they do try. April 4, 2016
