My son and I stayed here for a chess tournament. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The treadmills are very nice. The room was quiet. No airplane noise even though it is close to the airport. The shuttle drivers are great. On the Saturday night of our stay the National Diner was closed. (I'm not sure why. I think perhaps they were catering to a large group.) My son and I ordered our meal and were waiting for it as we were going to eat it in the room. Carlos, the manager on duty, made our trip special when he opened up a table with service at the National Diner even though they were officially closed for dining in. Thanks Carlos it was the highlight of our trip!!! Try the New York strip it is delicious..

This hotel is only a few blocks from a great commercial and dining area called Crystal City. If you are like me and want to use the Metro Rail to get around town the Shuttle service that is provided is wonderful and well worth staying at this hotel. The room was very comfortable and staff very friendly. The pool was closed during my stay but as i was out and around town every day till time to sleep I don't think I would have had time to use it.

Very nice place. The room was a bit small but was okay for 2 people. The room service from the pub was good. The National Diner wasn't great; it was clean but our waiter was difficult to understand and the food and coffee were not very good.
Great location! Very nice to be able to get transportation to the Metro whenever we needed it but had to wait quite a while for transportation back to hotel from Metro station.
The staff, upon check-in, was incredibly friendly and helpful!

Congress was out of session, so I stopped here after working in Maryland. The rates in all area hotels are much less expensive when Congress is out of town. 7-8 block walk to the train, $3 ticket to the Smithsonian. 5 block walk to a multitude of small restaurants and cafes. The only downside is that the hotel restaurant is contracted out to Red Robin, which I don't care for. Other than that, this is a great hotel and location for the price I paid!

Really enjoyed our DC experience. Hotel staff made that possible for our family. They provided us with great shuttle service to the airport and metro which was so valuable to us. Great for families, McDonald's right next door.

I was disappointed to see Holiday Inn National in DC area is such a old and "Not-a-real-HolidayInn" property. After a quick 10-min in bathroom I guessed this was not a "real" HolidayInn" property but purchased from "X" and renamed.
Of-course Hotel MGR confirmed I was right :(. It's a old-school 30+ yr old property but still charging 150-200 USD per night to IBM. Unfortuntely all other hotels nearby are full. Hence they also are ~100% booked.
MGR Jen on duty was good and courteous and agreed this property needs renovation overall as well as in Bathrooms. No breakfast served despite high-rates. Room had some spiders. Water-fountain in lobby was broken even after follow-up trip 2-week s later. Shuttle service is good but very limited to small Local area <1-miles and airport.

The best Front Desk staff I've met: Yannick. He was very professional and friiendly. The kind of professionalism one usually encounters in Five and Four Star hotels! Yan nick, you make Holiday Inn a 'Five Star' hotel.

We were very disappointed with the cleaning service. We had a family reunion and booked 3 rooms. One of our rooms was never cleaned for couple of days and the towels that were left on the floor were placed back of the rack. Mascara and lipstick stains were still on the wet towel. The floor was never cleaned - same trash on the floor the entire week. Had to ask for towels at the front desk.

I and four others stayed here when we came to tour Washington DC. It was so easy to catch the metro and go to anywhere we wanted to be. I was worried that we would be too far from the metro station but the shuttles were always ready to carry us to the station and pick us up. Malki (shuttle driver) is so friendly and helpful. He is a wonderful representative for your hotel. The rooms were nice and comfortable. There are good restaurants in the area and a McDonalds next door if you want a quick breakfast. We ate at O'Malley's one night and it was good, and was a good place to stop by in the afternoon or at night for a quick refreshment. I feel like we made an excellent choice when choosing where we would stay on our vacation.

Attended a conference at this hotel on 6-10 of June 2013. It was wonderful!! The food and beverage that was catered to the conference was very, very good and the attention to every little detail by Carlos and Marco was excellent. The front desk staff were kind and friendly, and bent over backwards to attend to our every little need. The room was very comfortable, and the maid service did not even squeak at my requests, as I had some things I needed to make my stay comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel for both just the needs of nightly stays and also for booking for a conference or event. They did a very, very nice job!

Staff is very friendly and helpful, beds very comfortable, rooms good sized, restaurant has good food and prices aren't bad. Will definitely stay here again when returning to DC. Only downfall is pool was being worked on during our stay and there is no hot tub

Every at the hotel is super friendly but professional. You are their number 1 concern. That is a hard line to tow.
Has a minor problem with the TV and five minutes after telling desk clerk there was someone at my room to see the problem. Was a loose cable connection
Also like the fact you park your own car in the spacious garage. Make for quick entry and exit.
Great location with many good restaurants within walking distance
The coffee shop for breakfast has lot of windows and feels like you are in a sidewalk cafe.

I recommend this hotel with no reservation. The staff is what sets it aside from the other hotels. From the shuttle drivers, to the front desk, to the cooks and maids. All go out of their way to make your experience wonderful. I cannot express how great I was treated. I stayed with them for 4 weeks. I was treated the exact way all four weeks.

Overall for cleanliness and comfort, my stay was fine. My biggest issue was I was coming for my son's college graduation. I had driven for over 8 hours to get to the hotel in time to check in at 1pm and make it to the 3pm graduation. The abrupt clerk at the desk promptly informed me of no check ins until 4pm. I explained that I was tired and sweaty and wanted to shower and change clothes to look nice for my sons' graduation. He said I could use the public restrooms or I might be able to get a room after 2pm. He was quite curt and abrupt with me and had absolutely no compassion or sympathy. So, I was forced to schlep my bags from my car to the public restroom to try and wash up and change clothes in a toilet stall. How humiliating. Was not my finest moment. I would recommend he get additional customer service training. No matter no decent a facility, if you do not have customer service, you really have nothing.

Great location for traveling to DC. Shuttle service was available when needed to the metro and back. Staff were very attentive. Only issue was the slow service in the diner down stairs.

We chose this hotel because of the FREE shuttle pickup for the DC trolley tour. The shuttle pickup was 9 a.m. and left DC to return to the hotel at 5:30 p.m. Parking at the hotel is $16.00 overnight. It is covered indoor parking. A good deal considering we saw $48.00 in DC. The hotel has a restaurant/bar and the food was very good. There is a menu in your room and also a calendar of events/specials. The rooms are not large but we didn't need large. Comfortable for the two of us. I requested an upper floor figuring that it would be quiet and it was. We didn't hear any hallway noise. Room was very clean also. The front desk is extrememely helpful. We arrived around 11 a.m., too early to check in but they explained the parking and I asked for directions to the Metro. They had maps available. Metro is about 5 blocks and an easy, comfortable walk. So helpful. Also because we are priority club members, we received complimentary bottled water and snacks in our room. We are looking forward to returning and have recommended this hotel to others.

The staff was excellent. Candis at the front desk was most helpful.
Room was clean. The restaurant had an extensive menu for breakfast and got us off to a good start for the day. The hotel was within walking distance to the Crystal City metro stop for easy access to sights in and around DC. We took the shuttle to the station and then walked back to catch great dinner options at restaurants on 23rd St.
We had stayed here a few years ago and will choose this hotel when we return to the area.

Thank you so much for all the special accomdotions on our group's trip to DC. The facility was wonderful and the staff was always friendly. I especially want to commend Marco who served in the banquet breakfast and pizza party our group had while we were there. He went so above and beyond and was so accomodating to my family and my daughter's special needs. Thanks so much, it was a wonderful experience.
My biggest complaint was the pub/restaurant. Our group went out of our way to make sure the hotel knew that 70+ guests would likely be eating upon arrival. We waited well over an hour for cold food and high prices. There was only 1 staff to serve the entire bar and restaurant--simply unaaceptable. One visit was more than enough to convince us to eat elsewhere,
Overall we had a wonderful trip and the staff was very accomodating.

We were there for a reunion and all seems to have gone very well.
The restaurant evening staff when we got there after a long plane ride seemed to be tired and overworked, but very pleasant. The staff did not provide frresh towels and toiletry items on the second and third day. Good thing we had our own. The people were there to see made our stay outstanding.

This hotel is very convenient to the Reagan Airport, The rooms are comfortable, the staff is extremely helpful, curteous and quick to greet you each time you walked in. Shuttle service was very good. Room was comfortable.

Really enjoyed staying in your hotel and the staff was truly welcoming and supportive. Couple minor items I hope can help. There is no TV in the Fitness Center. I actually left my head phones in my room as I figured I would keep the TV on...no such luck. The Pub is a great location, but the food was lackluster and not quite up to par with the price and what I was expecting. Enjoyed the rest of my experience and will visit again.

We chose Holiday Inn at National Airport because of their Park and Fly option. The room was very comfortable. The hotel was very easy to access (not a given in Crystal City). But most important to us, the shuttle service to and from National Airport was superb. The driver was prompt, very courteous, and very helpful.
We will definitely use this hotel again for trips to/from National Airport.

I had tribble time finding the Hotel, even though I called your listes number, I was not connected to the Front Desk, where local people may have been able to give directions, rather I was routed to service personnel outside the area, who were trying to guide using Google-Map! The stay was lousy, the room was not cleaned from previous guests stay(junk on the counter, etc.). I would like to GET FULL REFUND for this stay.
