Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Value for the Price Paid is Sub-standard The rooms are small; the is a very limited selection of eateries/restaurants in the hotel; housekeeping service on our floor was provided very late in the day (past 3 pm) - I had to ask them to clean and tidy our rooms; bathrooms were very limited in space. The only saving grace is the shuttle service that was convenient for any destination within 2 mile radius. 16 May 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Location and Staff make this THE PLACE Stayed there and commuted to DC each day. Room was a little older and shower needed a little new caulk (but was clean). It was a great place and a fairly good price for the area. The location makes up for any other issues there might have been. Very close to food, attractions and transportation (especially metra). I felt safe running 6 miles each night in the surrounding neighborhoods. I'd stay there again and if I can I will do so this summer and I will bring my family. 16 May 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Overnight stay The only thing I did not like at the Holiday Inn was that there was no refrigerator or microwave. This was my first time staying there, I usually stay at the Holiday Inn Express at Eisenhower Avenue. Other than that everything was good. McDonalds was right next door so that was a plus especially if you like McDonalds. 15 May 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by worth the price. The room was clean, and the staff was great but the shuttle was unpredictable. We called for a pick and it took 45 minutes (and two additional phone calls) before they came and got us. We were a five minute drive away. The driver was always rude and treated us like we were a bother. The front desk staff was great and the room service was good. 09 May 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Communication and Shuttle Failure Decided to stay at this location during my short overnight visit to DC. After conversing with the clerk at the front desk I was assured that the shuttle's run until at least 1030pm (when I was returning) from the subway station nearby (about a mile). After getting off the subway I called the hotel to request the shuttle and was told he'd be leaving soon. I stood there, along with three other guests, waiting for this shuttle for over an hour. Both myself and the other adult guest called the hotel multiple times only for it to revert back to the automated system since they weren't answering. In other words, I had to walk to the hotel with a family of 3 with two small children in the rain at nearly midnight. The front desk said that the driver went out and was insisting we just never saw the shuttle. I feel this was utterly unacceptable treatment and bar none one of the worst experiences I've ever had at an IHG property. Only to find out I discovered my room had no towels or toiletries of which took another 30 minutes or so for me to receive. I do not recommend this property. 07 May 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Family Visit to DC sites/memorials This location was wonderful in that we experienced not only the sites and memorials of Washington DC but also the metro system. Very convenient to take shuttle to airport and hop on metro for the Mall and all its sites. Hotel was a bit run down. Nothing special in the room or the lobby. The diner was only open for breakfast (disappointed me and the kids), we were looking forward to a 50's diner experience (burgers and shakes#. The other restaurant #can't remember it's name# was wonderful. Great service and very good food. Front desk service was okay. I didn't get warm and fuzzy from them. Lobby shop was mostly snacks and necessities #I guess I expected a few souvenirs since we were in DC#! Disappointed I had to pay for parking #$16.00 per day) Still had a great visit, just wanted a little more from IHG. 07 May 2014

Grazia and Patricia at front desk were definitely a good representative to have at the front desk. They remembered my name, were very attentive to my needs and ensured that my stay was the most enjoyable and relaxed one even if it was business. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by unclean rooms I've stayed at a lot of Holiday Inn, but this one is NOT even close to the other ones. Desk staff was great, and resterant was pretty good, but not so for the room staff. we where in 518 and it was dirty. towels on floor, dust on tables, dirty carpet not vacuumed, coffee for one cup. some guest wrote on the long mirror out side the bathroom John and it was still there when we left. the general manager wrote to MI in Maryland april 2014 that he address the problems with the staff. Well, apparently they didn't care or it didn't happen. I stayed a month later but won't ever again. No tip was left this trip 06 May 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great Day crew and van drivers The day crew here are the best I have ever had at a IHG hotel. The late evening/night crew need a lot of help. I had a easy time getting the hotel van to pick me up from the airport and once at hotel had the nicest ladies help me check in. I enjoyed the Nationals game and came back to hotel around 10:30 to find out my TV was not working. I called down to get someone to fix it and they said there was nothing they could do and would tell a manager. 30 min's later nobody called or stopped by, I went to lobby and they didn't seem to care/know about my problem. Finally, I get a young man to spend 20 min's on my TV and couldn't get it to work. He tells me I have to pack my things and move to another room right next to elevator, which I always request not to be by. I get a TV that works but now don't sleep well because of noise. The van driver and day crew are the best period and because of them I would come back again. Night crew needs some help. CVS and McDonald's very close. 13 April 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A repeat guest The hotel itself is ok but the staff are outstanding. This is not the most convenient hotel for me but the staff keeps me coming back. I've been staying here pretty much continuously since Nov'13. That alone is a powerful statement. The front desk: Everyone is great but I'll call out Grazier, Helina and Patricia as being not just friendly and helpful but competent and efficient. They get the job done and seem to enjoy themselves in the process. Kitchen: The food is surprisingly good and the servers are all a pleasure to be around. I eat many meals here and pretty much enjoy every one. Mario, the executive chef, serves up a great menu and puts his heart into making sure his staff prepares and presents meals to the hotel guests in the best way possible. Leaving today but I'll be back on Tuesday :) 09 April 2014

The front desk staff of Yannick,Janna,Heline,Samia, Patricia, Grazia are excellent . They are attentive to their guests needs. They deiver excellent customer service. The restaurant is excellent. The food is very good and reasonably priced. Sophia,Lana, Arthur,Bartholmew and Mario are excellent servers. They are always friendly and efficient and very welcoming. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Lacking customer service from bubukar Stayed evening of mar 23 2014 50 minutes to be picked up from the Reagan national airport at 1030pm. Was turned down by the driver for a pick up because the van was full. That is because you have 2 different hotel guests competing for 1 van. Arrived to be assigned a room that I had not selected during my reservation. Only after I called back down to get the room assigned that I booked did I get it. But only after security came up to verify that I didn't have a sofa sleeper that was needed in my room already...(really?). I know what a couch looks like. It doesn't look like a chair and ottoman. After moving rooms close to midnight now discovered the heat didn't work in the room. I called down to try and have it fixed same gentlemen above said I would be a few minutes. After 15 minutes and no knock at the door I have up. This isn't my first issue with this property. It's unfortunates that it may be my last. Please feel free to pass this on to hotel management and I consent to being contacted by them. Thanks 27 March 2014

The front desk Manager (whose name I apologize for forgetting) was well dressed and articulate, gave me an exceptional reception. The room was lovely and the food was beautifully presented and truely tasteful. All in all a true "home away from home" and one I will certainly return to my next trip to Reagan. This was a good decision and this property may change my mind about Holiday Inn for future stays. Airport Shuttle: Convenient and the driver was very friendly. Staff: Very friendly and helpful Room: The room was very clean and quiet. Bed: Comfortable Outlets: Unlike many hotels I have visited, there were plenty of accessible outlets. BUT, they do not provide coffee or tea in the lobby - at least not before 6 am - on Saturday morning. Yes, they have the silly little coffee pot that does not get warm in the room but there was also only fake dry creamer to put in it .... and two styrofoam cups when we had three people in the room. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great but changing I've been using this hotel for any trip to the DC area including trips to Alexandria and Shirlington. Their breakfast was always great and was included with the Gov't rate (as well as parking). The place has great staff and very convenient to get to the airport and metro. They also have REAL orange juice, not the syrupy stuff that comes out of the machines. On my last trip they said that things have changed and now the choice was either the free breakfast OR free parking. Parking is $16/day! So are you telling me that breakfast is $16? So I did what any reasonable and good conscience gov't employee should do, get the free parking and pay for breakfast which is covered by per diem. But this change definitely jaded my view of this hotel. For my next trip I may look at changing to a hotel closer to meetings since the value has gone down a bit 17 March 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Don't eat at the restaurant! I am a Platinum IHG member and have been for a few years. I stayed here for 2 nights in the "Snowmagedon" of 2014. The first night I went down to the restaurant / Pub to eat dinner. I had a tap beer that tasted like they hadn't cleaned the taps in months. I got terrible service and I was sitting at the bar. Let me put that into context. The female bartender was talking to a guy she obviously new at the end of the bar and didn't pay attention to me that well. Then the manager came out and was ripping into the bartender about something and she left the bar for like 15 minutes while now the manager was attending to other guest out in the restaurant. I had no service what so ever. Then the bartender came back and got me another bottle beer and brought my food. I didn't see her again for another 15 minutes as I waited for another beer. The food was not good. It was eatable but that was it. I did not order any more food from the hotel. It was not good. Overall the hotel was good, Front desk staff were great as I was getting cancelled flights and they were very accommodating. The room was small but very nice. Fitness room was good. All and all I would stay in the hotel again but never, ever eat there. I will be trying to find a better IHG hotel in the area for next time I travel to DC. Thanks SF 27 February 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Service This trip was rather stressful as my flight was delayed for several days due to the local weather.But, the bright spot of that trip was this hotel and its incredible staff. Yannick,Janna,Sophia,Mario,Patricia ,Gratziawere fantastic employees. They were true professionals in all of my interactions with them. I would list the entire staff,but, unfortunately I did not catch their names. The room was very nice and comfortable. It was rather large for an airport hotel. The restaurant served good food with excellent service. I highly recommend this hotel. 27 February 2014

I know that that does not really mean anything but it does make you feel at home. I travel 50% of the year for business purposes and felt very comfortable here. I was even asked by the cook at the Irish Pub in the Hotel as to how my meal was. I am just an ordinary working person; therefore, no need for special attention. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone. 24 February 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by If it weren't for the pillows, I would rate a one! I was extremely disappointed in so many ways with our stay here. First, I was shocked to see that there wasn't a microwave/fridge in the room, which I thought would be given that we had an extended stay. It wasn't until after we arrived, that I found out it would be an additional $20/night for both. We spent a lot of money on food expense because of this lack of notice. Also, we ordered room service from the restaurant within the hotel for our first two nights. After that, I decided it would be cheaper to simply go down to the restaurant and pick up the food, and I was surprised to see that there were Daily Specials that we could've taken advantage of the previous two nights. Why weren't these Specials listed in the menu? Then there was the "coffee maker" that's listed as being in the room. Being that we're coffee drinkers, this was a huge plus for us. However, once we arrived we saw that the "coffee maker" isn't a traditional coffee maker (not even a coffee maker but a machine) that only used it's own filters and coffee. This would've been nice to know given how much coffee we had brought. Then there is the matter of the cream/sugar/stirrer. One would think that given the fact that the hotel touts itself as Green, that they wouldn't waste so much plastic by having only single serve cream/sugar/stirrer packages. Each package contained just one of each item. So, if you're a person like myself who likes a lot of cream, and even more sugar, well then you have to open A LOT of packages. I had to call down each day to get about 20 packages sent up to the room for me. After the third day, I just gave up on my morning coffee. As a coffee aficionado, this was a huge disappointment. Even though we were booked for 6days/5nights, our room was only changed twice during out stay. Having stayed in many hotels throughout my lifetime, I was truly shocked by this lack of service. Not that we were here to watch TV, we thought it odd though that the TV listing left in the room, didn't match the channels provided. I was also surprised to see a lot of the digital channels being provided. As someone who recently got rid of cable, it was interesting to see that almost all the channels I have come to know in the last 4 months, this hotel had. I'm not sure how they can claim that they offer cable. The only positive I can say about this hotel is that they have extremely comfortable beds and pillows. So comfortable, I was this close to trying to fit a couple of the pillows in my luggage (I knew it would be hard to find the EXACT pillow). I refrained, and have recently purchased a pillow that I hope will be similar, but that tells you how comfortable they were. The pillows were so comfortable, it made the other negatives more bearable. However, they weren't so comfortable, that I can recommend this place. 04 February 2014

Our flight arrived at 8:00 AM and we came to the hotel wondering about a baggage check - not only did the staff offer early check in for us, they assisted us in planning our day with the Metro and free Shuttle Service to see the capital. We were able to check into a clean room around 9:00 AM, and had a wonderful stay. The staff was very friendly, and the concierge was more than willing to assist us with the shuttle to and from the local Metro station. Our only suggestion was for the food choices - one diner was undergoing renovation, and the food we received at the other diner was "fair" but it didn't feel like we got the food we paid for. Other than that, we had a great stay, and I would highly recommend this location to others. The room was quiet, comfortable, and new. 24 January 2014

Safe parking at the hotel (for a nightly fee). Pay the extra $9.00 dollars for the breakfast. The coupon paid for everything on the menu in The National Diner. Cons: Web site should have posted O'Malley's Sports Pub was closed for renovations. The Diner did serve items from the pubs menu along with a full bar. Two very small TVs were setup to watch sporting events. Exhaust fan in bathroom was very loud with no separate switch to turn it off. I needed two rooms for my families stay. The Holiday Inn Web site would not allow selection of second room type so I had to make two reservations. 17 January 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A near-perfect room If I could create my ideal bedroom, this would come very close! Good proportions and layout, not cramped at all. Bed was very comfortable. Considering how much better I slept, I may have to break down and try to find one like it. Overall, I like the way Holiday Inn is re-doing their rooms. It shows what an improvement you can make with good design and good choices in furnishings. Being on an upper floor, we didn't hear any noise from the busy highway it is on. The gym was also very nice, clean and well-appointed. The elevator cabs were a little beaten up and the card-key system to get to the room floors did not always work. I encountered one other guest who was having the same problem. In the parking garage, a power-washing and paint could go a long way towards making it seem more cheerful and not run-down. Overall, it was a good deal. 04 January 2014
