The heavy drapes don't close, so sunlight is too bright if you want to sleep in. The toilet seat moved around and wasn't very secure, with single ply rough toilet paper (John Wayne style). Also, the TV channels kept coming and going, especially on CNBC. The desk staff did not know what channel TBS was on, and told me you could only watch from the bar, which was incorrect.

If you are going to a Braves game, this isTHE place to stay. It is just down the street to Turner Field and if you are not up to the 10 minute walk, the hotel provides shuttle service to the field and for that matter, to any location within a 3 mile radius of hotel. This is our second stay here and we are looking forward to next year.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Blondie2013 Atlanta Braves Weekend
If you are planning on attending a Braves baseball game this is the place to stay. You do not even need a parking pass at the ballfield. This hotel is well within walking distance.
The hotel is nice and affordable. Rooms are very comfortable. Hotel bar was excellent for cocktails in the evening and they do have a restaurant on site. I did not get to eat there but the food smelled excellent and everyone I talked to that did eat, siad the food was very good.
The have a nice pool out back. It looked very nice and clean.
They offer under ground and above groud parking. There is a fee for parking though, but if you are a rewards member they offer you a discount.
The only draw back I encountered is there is only one set of elevators and so it took a while since we were there for a baseball weekend.
Easy access to the interstates.
I will be staying at this hotel again.

I was very disappointed in the check in service. The front desk demanded you have your rewards card number in order to utilize the express check-in. In this age I feel the staff should be able to type you name into the system and verify and provide the quest the rewards number. Our flight arrived in Atlanta by 2:30 PM and were told NO rooms were ready for the quest to check-in. I find that impossible to believe. Though I may stay at the hotel in the future I will review othe hotels in downtown and transporation to and from Turner Field. If I'm comfortable in the transporation I will try another hotel.

Rooms were not ready. Had to wait over an hour to check in. The restaurant staff was nice and friendly. They allowed us to sit in there and get some tea while we waited for our room. The lobby and bar was full of other people waiting for their room. A hotel with 16 floors needs more than just four slow running elevators. When we returned from the ball game the line was so long for the elevator that we decided to climb the stairs. We had to wait for the security guard to get the key to unlock the door to the stairs.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Maude5151 Nice stay, unfortunate circumstances I was there
I ended up in Atlanta after my husband had a heart attack on a delta flight to the Caribbean. The house keeping staff and especially the shuttle bus drivers Mike and Phylis were wonderful. If it had not been for them I would not of known that they had a "special rate" with Atlanta Medical center for circumstances. When I checked in late Saturday night and told them of the circumstances, I was not informed of the medical rates or what it took to secure them. Once I was made aware of it, I enquirer at the front desk what was necessary. They said a fax. The hospital called Ms. Hill a number of times to get the specifics of what was needed, she never returned the call. I personally called her and got voice mail and left a message. After day 3 the concierge at the hospital called her personal contact Carrie. Unfortunately the rate was not totally retro active, and upon checking out I had to protest the bill. Scuttle bus drivers, wonderful, maid staff, wonderful, bartender and security wonderful. Front desk, not so great. At times like I went throug all in all I appreciated every one but the front desk. They never looked me in the face. Also I do feel the room service gratuity of 21% is a bit much. Given the circumstances you can understand why I did not want to be in a dining room.
To all who read this please remember to tip the staff that are really helpful.

The hotel is conveniently located to Turner field and was nice. You could have used more check in and checkout staff that worked a bit faster. Too many people were lining up to do either.
The French toast on the breakfast buffet was hard and difficult to eat. But it is the only place to eat!
Would definitely return to this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel in July. There were some issues with cleanliness and comfort of rooms. Since July, I noticed very positive changes in décor and room comfort. The staff at check-in were happy and polite. Room keys and paperwork were ready for our arrival. Pleasant experience. Will stay here again.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by GRADE Nice Hotel with reasonable accomodations
Chose this hotel because a conference I was attending was being held nearby. The hotel front desk staff was friendly and easy to work with upon arrival and checkout. The room as clean and King bed was confortable. I was disappointed that room did not have a more comfortable seating area, refrigerator, and mircrowave. Business travelers may find these ammenities strangley absent in a hotel located in the downtown Atlatnta, GA. Overall, my experience was good and I would stay here again.

I hate to make it seem that the hotel was not great place to stay cause it is in a great location and the rooms was nice, but the supervisor that was present made the stay awful. He was very arrogant and had no people skills what so ever. I don't know what type of training is provided in the management role, but he needs some. Not a reflection on the other staff they were very polite and had good customer service.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by SHMILY Almost didn't stay here . . .
After reading the previous and mostly negative reviews before making our reservation, we almost chose another hotel, but we decided to take a chance anyway. Since we were coming to a Braves game, the location was just too convenient to Turner Field to pass up. And what a pleasant surprise it was indeed! We arrived earlier than normal check-in time and the friendly staff accomodated us after only about a 30 minute wait. Everybody from the nice young man outside informing us where to park, to the helpful lady at the front desk, were so wonderful. The lobby is beautiful and the rooms were very clean-the beds were ever so comfy! Our shuttle driver was so entertaining and informative, he made the short drive to the stadium a pleasure. Even our waiter at breakfast was very accomodating -although the breaskfast bar was just your typical meal. Our son even left his cell phone in our room when we checked out, the housekeeping staff found it and returned it to us. We will stay here again and will definitely recommend it!

My Family and I stayed here over Labor day weekend to attend Dragoncon in downtown Atlanta. While the hotel itself was a little ways away, the shuttle service and more importantly, the drivers (especially you Mike!) made it very easy to get to and from.
The whole staff was very nice.
The first room we were given had a leaking air conditioner, and they quickly relocated us with no problems.
Great staff, decent location to downtown (perfect for sport fans), and well priced.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by teri62 Comfortable but lacking
The room was comfortable and clean but I was unhappy to find that you had to pay extra for a refrigerator. I thought that was pretty much standard these days, especially at more than a hundred a night. I also paid $18 a day for parking while everyone else at the conference paid $5 and the staff was not willing to refund the difference.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by noraj9 Excellent place to stay, especially if you're able to catch a Braves game
I've stayed at this hotel multiple times when visiting Atlanta. Nice, clean place to stay. Friendly staff. Great location especially if you've got a chance to go to a Braves game. Less than a half mile from Turner Field. Clean and good quality rooms. In house bar tenders and workers were friendly. The in-house restaurant seems to have got worse over time. It is fairly expensive (which was expected) but the food quality/service seems to have been worse over time. The restaurant was a bummer, but the rest of the stay has always been excellent. Would absolutely recommend.

When I stayed I informed the front desk of a hair being in tub, towels feeling wet. They offered to move us to a new room which I appreciate but we had already unpacked. My concern though or problem rather is the bar manager Ken and bartender Day. Sunday night the bar was closed at 10 which would help to know if the sign said something other than 4-closing. I watched with my own eyes a couple being allowed in just bc their friends were in there. They then were allowed to purchase drinks after I was informed the bar was closed. Another guest complained to ken and he brought out 2 beers and the guest gave him cash. When my husband spoke to ken, ken stated the bar was closed. Ken later sold a bottle of wine to another group sitting outside. I feel like he was being prejudice. Why will you serve everyone except me and my husband?! The normal bartender Latasha is great! I can't give her enough praise. There was a server from restaurant who I don't know her name that was kind and brought the drinks I wanted to medieval to ken's lack of service. I am highly disappointed in service I received from Ken and Day. I work in customer service and would be fired if I were to treat customers this way. Please straighten this out. If I stay again I expect better service

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by CharlotteMom Great location for a Braves game
But there is nothing else around this property. The restaurant
On property is ridiculously priced. $14.99 for the breakfast buffet. Coffee was $2.50 a cup...crazy. The room was great. Comfortable beds and AC worked. The hallways smelt a bit musty though. The elevators are slow and you will always be waiting for one. The staff in the lounge area were quite rude both times we were there, it was really busy that day with the Braves playing, Dragon.con, and the VA Tech/Alabsma crowd there but there was no excuse for them to stand behind the bar and talk about people in the lounge and we had to practically beg to be served another drink. That was the worst part of the stay. Like I said, it's perfect for a Braves game...we walked there and back with no problems. The $18 a day parking fee was excessive too but it is Atlanta. Would stay again, would just bring breakfast food and snacks. They have you as far as food because there aren't any options nearby.

Internet was shoddy at best. Guests routinely were locked out of room, and would have to fight management in order to get renewed keys. Often overheard management fighting with employees and guests in front of other guests. Would not recommend.

Check-in was fast and I got a sweet discount on parking for being a Rewards member. I also requested a low floor and my wish was granted, but unfortunately the stairs didn't go down to parking and they were also only useful for going down, not up as they lock from the outside - I still had to use the elevator to go up and also down to the parking level, which is what I was trying to avoid, but that's no one's fault just something for future low floor requesters to be aware of! Free wifi is awesome. The staff was friendly and responsive, but the front desk ran out of bandaids. My room was quiet and clean.
My one, single, semi-legitimate issue was with the shuttle service stopping at 10:30. This hotel was listed as one of the overflow hotels for DragonCon and the staff all had nice DragonCon badges. It is nearly a two mile trek to the event hotels and it seems like they'd offer shuttle service until a bit later if not 24-hours for the event. I got some blisters from walking back in the middle of the night, which also ties in with the bandaids running out at the front desk.
Overall, everything was fine and dandy! My comments are just so others are aware of the structure of the building.

This Holiday Inn worked well for us. We were going to a Braves game and to see Alabama play in the Georgia dome. It's a short walk to Turner Field, and a 5 minute cab ride to the dome. Hotel is older, but nice and clean. And both of our teams won! Roll Tide!

On all too any occassions, the past 2 weeks for example the bar was out of 2 of 4 types of draft beer. At the same time the bottle beer cooler was broken. I am not sure if it is yet repaired. I walk into the restraunt on a weekend morning looking for the buffet and I am told, "Oh, we are not doing that at this time." Your food and beverage person needs to find a new profession.

Very convenient to downtown; that was nice and easy to get to & from.

I stayed here last year and it was a great experience, however this year I could see the customer levels had fallen off. It took forever to get checked in, long lines, two emplyees working the desk and always answering the phones. The elevators were always crowded and long waits to get one. We tried to use the stairs, but got yelled at from an emplyee that we had to wait for the elevators. I had issues accessing the business room to print my boarding pass so I asked for assistance with the front desk personnel. They both got cocky with me and were of no help. I will need to look elsewhere for a hotel next year.
