Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service Rooms ok but overall, hotel looks a bit dowdy and needs to be upgraded. Carpet on floors worn and does not look clean. Rooms well tended though and clean but hard to control heat/cooling. I had a nice view the 1st week of my stay which was an added bonus. Room was quiet. Elevators can be very slow in the morning rush hour. Food pretty good. Ambience overall, ok. Meeting rooms were ok. 03 March 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Needs Updating Badly - Mold Issues I stayed on the 11th floor in the circular building from 2/23/15 to 2/26/15 and unfortunately this property has fundamental issues. The location is directly off the interstate so the noise from trucks and traffic is very loud. The property was built in the 60's or 70's so the old windows don't help with quieting the significant interstate noise. The bigger issue though was a very pronounced musty and moldy smell on the entire 11th floor. The property had a large portable fan running 24/7 in the hall to help with the circulation but the smell was almost gag inducing the second you got off the very dated elevators. I was traveling for work and received a very discounted group rate which was still too high for the terrible overall condition of the property. You'll notice the flight crews frequently staying here and I honestly feel sorry for them. The walkablity of the property is also pretty bad since it's wedged in between the interstate and the lake so you're a 15 minute walk to anything if you don't want to risk eating at the restaurant downstairs. 02 March 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Recent Austin visit Hotel was convenient to I-35, but too convenient if you know what I mean. If you have a hard time going to sleep with extra outside noises, you had better request the South Tower, as the traffic from I-35 and the access road on the North is quite heavy on the weekends through the early am hours. Room was clean, staff courteous. Bathroom small, but that is because of the round circular shape of the building itself. Maintenance was fast in fixing the AC in one room we reserved. Overall - price was good compared to others in the same area. 26 February 2015

Two friends and I were in Austin for a convention and one nice feature the motel offered was a shuttle service which goes to the Convention Center. When we returned the first night, we were very tired and wanted a meal close by then to bed. We were told there was not any near restaurants, but the shuttle would be happy to take us where ever we wanted to go. While in the lobby, we thought we caught an odor of cooking food. So we went to investigate. Lo and behold, in the bar, they offered not only beverages, but a full menu! We sat and had a lovely dinner served by a couple of very friendly guys. We just couldn't understand why we were not told about the availability of the place...good food, good service, and the convience of being right under the same roof! A very well kept secret!!! Sleep quality, our room was on the highway side and was a little noisy. 25 February 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed, great service, highway noise The cost was higher than I usually pay for a hotel and there was no free breakfast but we brought fruit and protein bars to avoid the $13 cost for breakfast. The banquet meal was disappointing. The potatoes were dried out and the meat (beef) was very unappetizing and tough. I was able to eat only two bites. The desserts were very good. Beverage glasses were not refilled. Everything else was perfection. The bed, the pillows, the servicing of the room. Friendly and very helpful staff. 25 February 2015
