The staff expecially at receiption were excellent. The service at the bar and the resutaurant was very good as well. Overall, what makes this hotel specila is how welcoming and hospitable the staff is. It also has a good quality gym and pool.

Having some time ago had a pleasant stay here my wife and I were extremely disappointed, particularly with the lack of service from the front desk.
It took 30 minutes to check-in because there was only 1 member of staff and he didn’t seem to know what he was doing!
The hotel has no lift but there was no offer to help with our cases.
When I called the front desk from our room to let them know there was a safety-related problem nobody answered the phone.
I reported the problem in person to the front desk the next morning but when we returned to the hotel that evening the problem had still not been addressed so I called the front desk from the room again.
This time they answered but only seemed interested in guessing at excuses why nothing had been done and not interested in helping so I asked to speak to the Duty Manager and was told she was very busy as they had a wedding (does this imply there is a rating system for guests receiving service).
I insisted he get the duty manager to talk to me and let me know when that would be. He called back and said in 10 minutes and within minutes the manager came and addressed the problem. When I spoke to her I contrasted the poor (at times non-existent) service from the front desk to the efficient and friendly service in the restaurant.
On checking out despite there being a note on the computer about our dissatisfaction I was asked if our stay had been OK to which I replied not really. The young lady then asked if there was anything she could do to which my response was you can’t turn back the clock to undo the poor service.
Based on this experience it is extremely unlikely that we will use this hotel again and would not recommend it .
