Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Executive Lounge Noticeable Drop In Food/Beverage Quality We have been coming to the Holiday Inn Silom for a few years now. Like all hotels, it has pros and cons. One of the pros is (or was) the Executive Lounge and it's benefits. However on our last stay we noticed the Executive Lounge's food and beverage department has taken a severe blow and has either been given a directive to cut it's quality due to recent troubles and subsequent low occupancy rates in Bangkok or things have simply gone awry. The snacks on offer during the 6pm - 8pm period were of a lower quality than we have experienced on previous stays. The same goes for the wine, this time, the wine was simply horrible, it was very cheap and very nasty. Previously they have always supplied decent wine but now it's simply poor table wine and this isn't good enough. Breakfast (in the Exec. Lounge) had also suffered, the bread was stale and the choices were limited compared to previous stays where there were better choices and fresher bread. We've booked and paid for several stays this year, but if standards do not go back to where they were in the Executive Lounge in terms of food and beverages (the staff are still very friendly and amiable) we will be looking for a new Hotel for our frequent stays in Bangkok. 18 May 2014

We travel to Bangkok on business 3 times a year and have tried lots of different hotels in the area, including Apartment Hotels. This Holiday Inn is outstanding, with attention to detail. The beds are excellent and the service superb! Thanks to the staffs excellence in service and hospitality. Love Love Love this hotel! 16 May 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely hotel I have stayed in this hotel a good few times over the last three years and it always offers a good value and high quality stay. The only draw back of the hotel is its position, it is not near any of the tourist sights! However, it is only a 5 min walk to the BTS to get you to the shopping area or to the river to take you to the Royal palace, Wat Aran, and Poo etc, so not so bad As usual booked an executive room so access to the lounge all day for free breakfast, drinks and nibbles at 6 pm as the sun goes down. Staff were friendly and helpful as always. Just back from a 4 night stay in the HI in Pattaya where the bed was actually more comfortable newer matrass, maybe. However, room was comfortable and very clean as always. Just down the hall from the lounge so a short walk to coffee during the day while working. Actually had breakfast in the restaurant downstairs as there is more choice there, but a fair selection in the lounge if you want a quieter environment to eat away from the bustle of the main restaurant. Free car parking for guests if required. The only negative comment I would have was that there was no recognition of my Platinum IHG status at check in! Would I come back, well I have done in the past and nothing has changed my view. 16 May 2014

Was not much of high expectation with regards to the hotel room but was hopping to have a decent sleep and clean room. Well...the hotel exceeded my expectation in every sense i must said...the room is big, modern,clean and they even have a big couch which i think can sleep another person,with a working desk and a seperate was cool and for a moment i thought i was in a suite!! The hotel is close to BTS and you can have a short walk to near by shop...actually the hotel is just outside of the busiest Bangkok city center which can is good because it will be less traffic and i think as of the situation in Bangkok where demonstration can happen at any time at the city is wise to stay away a little bit. 08 May 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Quick service quick service by staff spacious room I stayed 3 days only and I didnt experience any trouble with the level of service of this hotel. The staffs were not rude but could be encouraged to smile more and be friendlier. There is a bit of noise from adjacent rooms or when somebody is talking loudly in the hallway but overall, I was able to sleep well during the night because of the comfortable matress and variety of pillows. 05 May 2014

The staff were always friendly and helpful and the location was convenient for where i needed to be. My only criticism is that the hotel restaurants concentrated more on Indian and European food, and although the quality looked good it meant I didn't really want to eat there. When I visit Thailand I prefer to eat Thai food. 01 May 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bangkok part 2 This was our second stop in bangkok after being in Phuket a week and the Holiday Inn Express Siam prior to that. The Holiday Inn Silom was by far the best Holiday Inn hotel I've ever stayed in, and over the years I have stayed in numerous worldwide including London, New York, Sydney (a close second). The hotel has the appearnace inside of a 5* hotel, the rooms are large and beds are the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The breakfast choice is amazing everything from the English breakfast ot Indian, traditional Thai, waffle making machine (kids loved that!), Japanese, chinese, pastry, continental and chef making omlettes in fornt of you. The staff are extrmely friendly and courteous and have great knolwedge of area and places to eat/ places to go. If you got to Thailand this is THE hotel to stay in. John C (UK) 28 April 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Better options in Bangkok I have stayed at this priority over 25 nights in the past 3 years, primarily for business in the Silom area. In the past year or so, in particular, the level of service has gone down hill significantly and the property is being poorly maintained. There is also zero recognition for Holiday Inn Platinum members. On this stay, in particular, I found check-in staff to be impolite and arrived to find a dirty, poorly presented room. Occupancy was low, no upgrade was offered. Disappointing indeed. With so many new Holiday Inn and Crown Plaza properties opening in Bangkok I would think they would be more concerned about retaining their regular customers. That does not appear to be the case. 20 April 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So far, the best in the world! I stayed with my wife and 3 young children for 2 nights whilst visiting Bangkok. The hotel is about a 40 minute drive from the main airport. It is about a 90baht taxi ride to the grand palace. I had 2 connecting executive rooms which were excellent. Well decorated, equipped and lovely firm beds. Quality. The staff on check in and throughout our stay were absolutely brilliant. I have stayed with this chain all over the world and I have to say this is by far the best so far. The staff are so friendly and polite, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast had lots of choices and we ate in the bar/lounge on an evening, again good value and the staff were superb. They do have a happy hour which I think they should advertise at the entrance just to entice more people in. I, along with all my family really were made to feel very special and I would definitely recommend this hotel. 17 April 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by 总体来说介于尚可~一般之间 1,已经下榻holiday inn bangkok silom 3次,将近10晚吧,前两次在副楼的guest room,后一次一晚在主楼deluxe room。副楼的设施相对较旧,但是自我感觉卫生情况比主楼的要好。主楼的沙发上有污迹,还有bathroom的垃圾桶有几根长头发 ,洗漱台擦不够干净,有点水渍印痕。不知道前几次中用官网订的silom和 Express Bangkok Siam的房为都没有累积到积分,然后最后一次直接在前台walk in 的deluxe room才有积分,也才能评论,之前在用在官网order的时候前台check in的时候都有报卡号的。是不是要定deluxe 以上的房间才有积分?新手不太懂。 2,前台check In的时间比较慢,等候有点长,可能由于人多的因素,阿联酋航空的crew也在这下榻,但是退房速度是比较快的。 3,早餐相对于比 Express Bangkok Siam要好,种类要多,但是没有新意,几次入住的种类都没有变,每次都是那样子,吃到后面几次的入住都不想吃了,有点反胃。 11 April 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Change of conditions The Holiday Inn Silom remains one of my favourites in Bangkok offering great accommodation at a very reasonable rate. However I was disappointed on my most recent trip. I pay the extra for a Club floor room which includes, amongst other perks, breakfast in the club lounge. This is clearly advertised when booking. However the hotel now reserve that right, without informing guests beforehand. On check-in I was told they no longer provide breakfast in the club lounge when occupancy is low. This really is not acceptable and they need to rethink this policy of removing benefits without informing guests BEFORE booking and not on arrival. No rate reduction was offered. Instead they offered breakfast in the main restaurant. The hotel was very full and on one occasion we had to wait around 30 minutes for table. 11 April 2014
