Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good size bedrooms and great staff Bedrooms are very roomy an more than adequate for our stay. Some noise from the street tat night, but earplugs are provided free of charge in the room. Good breakfast which was good value for money at the two for one price on offer at weekends, would be a bit pricey if at full cost. Very friendly and attentive staff, would defiantly stay here again. 26 February 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Value for money, lovely room and friendly, helpful staff I booked this hotel because it was close to the Bullring, Back to back, The Gas Basin and China town. With no more that 15 min walk we were at everything. we wanted to see. So location very good. We were three in the party and we had a lovely room; better said two adjoining rooms. (One double and two single beds) In a lot of hotels we've been the third person gets a fold up bed or convertible couch but we all had our owns beds and the room wasn't much more expensive than a double room. So good value for money. We were also located at the end of a passage so no passing noise and very quiet. The room also had two bathrooms! One with a bath and the other with a shower but both hat toilets and hand washing basin. No waiting for others to finish! All the staff we came across were very friendly and helpful. Reception especially informed us of things to see and do that we didn't know about and I'm very glad that he did otherwise we would have missed great views and lovely architecture. The breakfast buffet was very well stocked with even two types of sausages! And I can recommend the tea, Just to my liking! The only thing that let the hotel down were the beds. Linen lovely and white, enough pillows but the bed itself was too soft so that we all had a bad night the first night we stayed, since we weren't used to soft beds! The second night things improved either because we became accustomed to the beds or because we were exhausted from a day of sight seeing. An other negative is that there aren't any parking facilities since this hotel is located in the center of town. However there is a parking garage close by and the hotel grands 50% discount but it is still a lot of money because it adds up over the days. But the car was off the streets and safe! All in all I would recommend this hotel to others. 26 February 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not recommended!!! Externally the hotel is unattractive and not a little awkward to get to by car. But by far the most disappointing part of my stay at the Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre was the food which was of extremely poor quality and well below par for the Holiday Inn. 24 February 2015

One of the best holiday inn properties I have ever stayed in, amazing city centre location, spacious rooms and of a much better standard than your usual holiday inn. Only downside was the EXTREMELY abrasive weekend evening door staff, attempting to gain reentry to my room at 11pm was made to feel that I was trying to gain access to the city's most exclusive nightclub! Just make sure you don't care approach the door without keycard in hand (I had to dig it out of my handbag and while doing so was subjected to a barage of abusive language and physically manhandled away from the door, totally unnecessary, no apology on actually producing the card) aside from this a good stay. 23 February 2015
