The Holiday Inn in Birmingham is well located, with friendly staff, large clean rooms and an excellent breakfast.

My fiance and I stayed at the Holiday Inn on Saturday 04/04 over the Easter weekend. We were attending a music festival in Digbeth nearby, and the Holiday Inn I booked through Late Rooms due to a good price and close proximity to the music venue.
We checked in at approx 2:30-3pm and we found the nearby NCP multi storey car park, although it is hidden in the one-way system... no fault of the hotel it is just down to the location of both the hotel and car park.
Check in at reception was easy and straight forward, the staff were friendly and hospitable.
We were staying on "S" floor which was classed as the second or third floor I believe. Upon entering the room, it was spacious enough, had a nice Samsung Smart TV on the wall, fridge, ironing board, tea

Spacious, immaculately clean rooms. Excellent staff and facilities.
I would recomment Holiday Inn above other hotels in the area as I had another excellent stay.

A good business experience that ticks the boxes for a general purpose visit. All I need is internet, room and bathroom and the rest I do for myself.

I was on a deal and so can't complain about the value.
Rooms are very comfortable and clean, the problem I had sleeping could only be fixed with drugs as I can never spleep in a new bed, no fault of the hotel.
Staff were friendly and I didnt have any problems with any service that they were involved in.
Food pricing for posh nosh was very reasonable, but slightly overpriced for lounge/room service food.
Only drawback is the Internet which is supplied by a 3rd party and so again can't directly blame the hotel if they are stuck in a contract: Their security certificates had all expired and I had to overrule my laptops security programs to get online. Once connected the speed was not all that and the connection kept dropping which was very fristrating esp as the LAN line connection in the room wasn't working.

All-round positive experience. The only downer for me was the quality of the Southern-fried chicken club sandwich from room service. Had I not been so tired and hungry I would have returned it.

The hotel was great. Do not stay in the room near the other hotel's sign. You won't get any sleep.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Tony Cardiff Noisy room 222
We asked for a quiet roomand were given room 222 which sits right over the loading bay for the hotel next door and for the hotel itself and also just over the entrance to the NCP car park. We experienced constant noise from delivery lorries and people shouting and screaming all night and day. When asked if it was possible to move we were told no as the hotel was hosting a weeding and was full.
The room was freezing cold and the hearing did not work.
Avoid room 222 if you want to have a relaxing break !!!
