Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by No working A/C given 2 desk fans of which 1 worked! Checked in on Friday to find no parking in their 2 small car parks however you can use the NCP car park opposite which isn't too bad. Air conditioning system in my room stopped working Friday evening to which i was provided 2 small fans which only 1 worked. Hotel was fully booked therefore could not relocate me to another room however was refunded £15 for no sleep for 2 nights. Furthermore went to complain as the bedding was dirty however was told they only change bedding every 3 days therefore nothing more can be done :| Needless to say i will not be staying in any IHG properties ever again due to this terrible experience. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Too Noisy Unfortunately the noise generated by the Air Conditioning units made it impossible for me to get a get a good nights sleep. I even had my own ear plugs. checked out at 4am just so I could get home and catch up with my sleep in a nice quiet bed. August 27, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by poor breakfast staff although our stay was comfortable and enjoyable, I do feel that the holiday inn were let down by the attentiveness of their breakfast serving staff. no good morning, lucky for a glance, having to wait for empty used tables to be cleaned and reset, having to ask for glasses and plates, having to ask for bread. really all round very poor staff. too busy standing with their backs to guests chatting. Breakfast quality was fine, chef and kitchen workers far more polite than serving staff. August 26, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Tired hotel in need of an update The hotel is tired and dingey with cost cutting to the fore. Room quality and facilities are poor. Insufficient power adapters, tired 90s furniture, one towel, one shampoo and one soap in the bathroom [which was dirty] to share between two of us... get the picture ? Our hotel appeared be hosting people from a stag do - there were hundreds of drunken men milling around the front - so that didn't exactly provide a welcoming appearance. Having said all the above, the staff were very nice. August 26, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by OK One of the few decent places to stay in Bolton. Centrally located and a secure car park right next to the hotel are a benefit, no need to carry luggage half a mile or more as you have to in some city centre hotels that have no on site parking facility August 24, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bolton Holiday Inn Clean, convenient Holiday Inn in downtown Bolton. Friendly staff will greet you. A decent restaurant or a lounge/bar for lighter snacks and a few pints. Healthclub with pool also available, but a bit smaller (2 treadmills). August 23, 2015
