Not unto normal standardThere were too many points wrong with the accommodation and the hotel is in general need of a facelift.

From the outside this is a 'spectacular' building and not typical of a Holiday Inn. So much potential - lovely building, lovely location.
However, the interior, in particular the room I was in, falls short of what we might expect of a 21st century Holiday Inn.
The common areas are OK. But my room, which was an upgrade to an Executive was simply not up to the Holiday Inn standard. Very poor lighting, tired furniture all in need of a refit. The room was big and if decorated in modern standard would be fantastic. There is a small dressing room where the wardrobe is - the ceiling light that was in this room was so under powered it was like an old 40W bulb struggling to light anything and providing that dull, yellowy light that you associate with 1950's!
The bathroom in particular was well below par. Cracked floor tiles, badly cracked wash basin, grout between tile that was stained and mouldy, bath taps that were broken. The whole room just looked tired and worn out.
On a very picky note - as a very regular user of Holiday Inns and a Platinum IHG member it is the norm to get perhaps, a couple of small bottles of drinking water in the drinks fridge. This room had a very nice drinks cooler but nothing in it. What is the point of that.
So I'm afraid I didn't really enjoy my stay. This site could be fantastic; if decorated properly in a modern way the room I was in could be a Hotel Indigo room - it was certainly larger than some of the Indigo rooms I've stayed in. Go have a look at Scotch Corner - a 'traditional' building refurbished to a good standard.
Finally the staff were very good - when I mentioned the points that I've mentioned here on check out there was definitely a feeling of 'yes, we know'.
So Holiday Inn next time I stay at Tong Lane I hope it will be in a new, modern tastefully refurbished room. I certainly won't be staying there again until the hotel is refurbished.

The hotel was easy to find with good links to the M1, M62.
The hotel was clean with good friendly professional service from check in to check out.
The room was comfortable, well serviced and a peaceful nights sleep was had

King Room reserved was not available until we showed the reservation confirmation and the front desk found a King Room for us. Room was not ready on check in at 9 pm: - broken lock, closet door did not move. Only 1 bath towel available, and only two hard pillows in room, requested refrigerator not in room. Reported all to the front desk the same night as arrival. Towels and pillows arrived while we ate a late dinner and rest all fixed during breakfast next day. - fantastic response, very impressed. Noise in hotel and grounds were very noisy during weekend, but we had a quiet room on 2nd floor in the back and did not hear a thing. This week was relatively hot for the area and it would have been nice to have have had an air conditioner - but alas none in any of the hotel rooms.Would have appreciated an ATM in lobby, but not a service at this hotel. Appreciated the availability of the refrigerator for medication and for ice cold drinking water. Did I say how good the food was? Loved it!!

Nice locale in a village betwixt Leeds and Bradford. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, peaceful, attentive staff, hale and hearty food. Clean. Only slight disappointment to an otherwise huge and spotless room was the absence of air con on the hottest and most humid night of the year. I will definitely stay here again when my work returns me to the area.

I stayed here for two night on a business trip to Leeds. The rooms are dated and could really do with a facelift to being them up to date, free wifi wasn't great but the staff looked after you well with any queries I had. Breakfast buffet on the second day was cancelled as i presume there wasn't enough people staying in the hotel, although you could order from the waiter. Overall the place was just very quiet with what seemed like only a handful of people staying, feels more geared up to weekend functions.

We stay in HI Leeds - Bradford for my brother in law wedding. Hotel is beautiful and service was really good. The only small issue was the noise at night time, but no complain as there were 3 weddings taking places the same night at the hotel. Overall very good service.
