Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel if you don't get room 2 Unfortunately I was given room 2 which was close to the lift and fire escape. It was so noisy I got little sleep. I think they avoid using room 2 if possible but I had to move rooms when the first one I was given was not clean (toilet had not been flushed or cleaned). Previous stay was great so don't think this is the usual level of service so would still stay again in future as staff always very polite, beds are very comfortable and breakfast is good. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Mixed Feelings This hotel has a great front of house ambience and the bar, restaurant and reception areas are really nice. However I had one of the worst nights sleep in ages. It felt like I had plastic sheets on the bed and it wasn't comfortable at all. Not sure why, as they obviously weren't. I ended up sleeping on the sofa with the spare duvet over me, which wasn't in a cover. I was also disappointed to see that there was only tea in the room. Very unusual as I have stayed at many hotels over 10years with IHG. The room was also dated, especially the bathroom and housekeepers needs to liaise more with maintenance teams. As soon as I walked in, I had to try and hang the net curtains which were half hanging off of the rail, due to damage, which in turn meant the sliding window doors would not work. The staff were all lovely, but would I stay here again in a hurry.... I don't know. August 29, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Top class Hotel I loved our stay at this hotel. From the minute we walked in the hotel, all staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Rooms are top quality including a mini fridge, iron,tea/coffee.. everything you needed. The swimming pool is also very good quality, very clean and free to use. We used the beauty rooms too- very good prices and friendly staff. The food in the resturant is AMAZING.We had a 3 course meal included in the price of our stay.Breakfast had everything you would need and cooked perfectly. Parking is free during your stay and plenty of parkinfg spaces I can't wait to stay here again!! August 11, 2015

Complained twice and staff did not make sure the room opposite was quiet. Took 25mins to check back into hotel after coming back in from night out. Very rude and hence my complaints August 5, 2015
