We had a one night stay in Brighton at the Holiday Inn. From the minute I made the booking to when we arrived, the staff were absolutely charming. We were two adults and three children and when we found our room to be a little too cramped, they happily moved us to a slightly bigger room which was perfect. Similarly, the breakfast staff were charming and breakfast was plentiful, tasty and filling - we will definitely book to stay again.

Very poor service in the restaurant. I was shocked at how bad it was. We had to wait for the order to be taken, we received no menus, the drinks order wasn't taken and the food service was slow.
The restaurant had two staff the whole time and only 4 tables of people!
I understand slow service when the place is busy, but this was ridiculous.
We were staying for the Brighton Marathon, so had no opportunity to leave the restaurant to find other food!
The others we were sitting next to had the same view of the service.
Front dest staff were good, the rest of the hotel was good and the location was excellent.

We stayed the 12th April. On arrival the staff were very friendly with assisting us with parking. I booked six rooms in total but only received points on 1 which I am currently chasing.
I did book 2 executive seaview not realising that it was side view, which truthfully was a waste of time and money. You cannot really see the sea without trying very hard.
The room had been refurbished which was lovely but with two down sides. 1: The matress was nice but the bottom of the bed was old and dirty. 2: the heating was not working due to refurbishment.
The open areas are very open and the we ate in the restaurant. The staff were very kind, attentive and the food excellent. BUT we had to eat with our coats on as it was so cold. The hotel is currently under refurbishment and once done will be great.
