Could do with a better make off coffee as the one supplied in the room was nit nice unless you like Kenco. The food was excellent and there was plenty of choice from the breakfast buffet. The only downside was the attitude of the one of the staff running the breakfast restaurant. 02 April 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel, slow service. Average experience. I stayed in this hotel during March 2014 for a weekend conference. The hotel is nicely decorated and generally comfortable. Standard rooms are small for the location but were relatively comfortable and clean. Wifi is chargeable throughout and seemed a bit of a rip off. The food was average but this may have been due to the fact I was eating buffet stuff mainly due to the event I was attending. The main theme of this hotel was that the bar service was very slow due to a lack of staff. I had to remind the staff on 3 occasions to get drinks for me and one of these was after I was told the lounge was table service and therefore no need to wait at the bar. I was not the only person who was notably irritated by this experience. This was also the case in the private bar which was understaffed for the number of people at the evening events in our group. I should just clarify that the staff were all polite and helpful but there was just not enough of them. On check-out I was asked if everything was ok with my stay and I mentioned this. The member of staff on the desk, named Sebastian was apologetic and he offered to credit my IHG rewards account with 5000 points. At the time I was happy with this offer. I have since checked my account to find this has not been done. Would I stay here again? No! 30 March 2014

We always have a nice room and really enjoy eating in the restaurant. Breakfast is always good with the exception of the toaster that has a mind of it own!. Rooms were very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful - the waitress at breakfast remembered that we had requested crispy bacon from the day before and asked on the second morning if we would like this again- impressive! The hotel is conveniently placed to travel into Bristol and Clifton and see the sights. Would stay here again - thank you for a lovely weekend 19 March 2014

Overall, the hotel is good and I return here often when on business in the area because of the ideal location and good gym and pool available for no additional cost. However, some issues make it more and more difficult to justify returning given the competition elsewhere: evening meals are poor value for money, and wifi is not free, despite this being offered by other hotels in the area. During my last visit to the hotel, I ate in the hotel bar and my meal was rather poor value for money compared with that offered by other local establishments. Overall, consistently good hotel worthy of recommendation if these issues would be rectified. 10 March 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Overpriced Chinese Restaurant We visited this hotel last Saturday. Hotel was quite busy, our room was too hot and thermostat did not work. We had a priority card which we had read allowed us free access to wi fi which was £5 per hour or £16 for 24 hours, however reception said that did not come in till latter in the year. We ate in the Chinese restaurant which was very expensive and under staffed. Food was of a good quality when it came but we had been sitting there for and hour and a half and only had the soup starter from the set meal. We were a table of 8 and chose 6 of one set menu and 2 of another set menu, We asked that the food was all brought together as we intended to share it between us. This appeared to cause chaos and the main courses finally came at after nearly 2 hours with two arriving 20 minutes after the others. We were not offered further drinks and had to ask, at one point thought we might have to go to the bar ourselves. The staff did their best but were severely understaffed. Meal worked out at nearly £40 per head, defiantly expected better service for this sort of price! Service was discretionary however they had added 12.5%. A Joke. 08 March 2014

Had a very quiet,clean and comfortable room.superb breakfast,helpful and friendly staff.We used the swimming pool and enjoyed a walk around the ponds outside.Had a very relaxing break at an amazing price.Looking forward to returning. 27 February 2014

Hotel staff were very polite and professional, room was lovely and clean and best of all my husband loved the power shower! The only reason we haven't scored full marks for the food at this place is because we didn't eat here as we chose to eat out with family. Overall a lovely hotel and we will be staying again if we ever visit Bristol 26 February 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great family stay We had a really warm reception from the Front Desk staff who all ensured the whole family were well catered for, from extra internet access to extra hot chocolate in the room. The pool provided a haven for the children, with the youngest still learning he had easy access at the side of the pool. We received excellent service from Neil in the bar area. He was very friendly and kind to the children. 24 February 2014

Very disappointing - the decor was worn and tatty throughout, the staff were cold and unhelpful and I waited nearly 15 minutes for some of the worst bar service I've ever had. I stayed here a decade ago and it was fine, but has got very run down since then. 13 February 2014

I have spent the most part of the last two weeks at this hotel, and although it wasa lovely place with very friendly front-of-house staff and an exceptionally lovely breakfast team, I was disappointed for a couple of reasons. 1. I stay in a lot of Holiday Inns, this one was not exceptional, but was phenomenally more expensive for a night's stay (I stayed in Wembly the other day and it was 2/3 of the price). I feel that there cost is a monopoly on the area, and do not feel there are any exceptional reasons for this cost. 2. Due to the expense, I wanted to enquire about a rate for frequent stays (my colleagues and I would be coming back), but it took four converstions with the hotel reception staff, and 3 conversations with the sales team to get a response. Additionally, promised phone calls and e-mails were not sent. I was disappointed with the sales team's lack of communication. Overall, no better than any other Holiday Inn, Overpriced, and bd communication. Sadly I was dissapointed with my stay. 27 January 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by NYGB We had an enjoyable stay, which was one night after we had attended the New Year Gala Ball. The hotel is very nice and staff friendly and efficient. Breakfast on Jan 1st with a full hotel was extremely well run and there was no waiting for a table, plenty of delicious food items. The food at the ball was excellent as were the decorations and table décor. The only thing that spoiled the evening was the disco. A DJ who refused to deviate from his "set list", he did relinquish once! It took him a long time to get the idea of what music we all liked but once midnight had gone the last hour was better - mind you most people were past caring! The location of the hotel is among trees and lakes - very nice. 15 January 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice New Year Celebration Hello, Generally Holiday Inn - Filton was nice experience. Bathroom needs updating and outside hotel looks tires. Inside, main areas after refurb. Rooms may need a little update but generally fine for price. Breakfast - very good buffet - great choice hot and cold. Dinner - excellent 3 course well cooked. Staff - pleasant. Pool and gym - small. New Year celebration nice and pleasant. Air con was not working. 13 January 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by "It does what it says on the tin" You know this isn't the Ritz Carlton when you are booking it, so don't expect the Ritz Carlton. Yes the walls are thin and personally I have been spoiled by the huge beds on offer in most American hotels; but this hotel is ideally located in a surprisingly quiet spot. The breakfast was great; the service was attentive and the price was excellent. Any issues we had were dealt with promptly and efficiently. We will be staying here again; especially at the price we were offered. 02 January 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable room and great food we stayed at the Holiday Inn Filton Bristol for one night on 28 December. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. We overlooked the gardens at the back of the building which was nice. Breakfast was very good, and although we went down quite late the hot buffet was still being refilled with fresh produce, it didn't appear that food had been sitting on the hot plates for any length of time. Very impressed. Service was good and staff pleasant. we had a bargain deal through IHG as well so overall an excellent weekend. 02 January 2014

Rooms are warm, comfortable and clean. Staff are friendly, and there is a real welcome when we show up. Our children will propbably never own houses large enough to accomodate their parents but no matter as this Holiday Inn meets all our needs. 01 January 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great value but some mistakes Got a great room for a great price but was let down by a few things. We had booked a cot when I booked a room but this was not in the room when I checked in. I mentioned it on arrival that we needed a cot and the receptionist said there wasn't one in the room now but he would get it sorted for when I returned later that night. On arriving back about 9.30 there was still no cot in the room. We had 2 very sleepy children so I did not bother going back and asking for one ad just needed to get them to bed. Also we used the sofa bed but had to ask for sheets, duvet and pillows as there was none provided in the room. Surely if there is a sofa bed then extra items should be provided ad standard?? I have to say breakfast wad excellent and very tasty and I made several trips back to the buffet! All in all an ok stay but let down by lack of attention to detail. 01 January 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing stay We have recommend this hotel on many occasions and stayed there many times but this time even though the staff were helpful everything else seemed to have deteriorated and was of a poorer quality. The beds were two stuck together and very hard with the duvets being much thiner with sheets not the quality we remembered. The general feel of the hotel was sub standard this time. Saying that we have just arrived at the Holiday Inn Brent Cross and as we walked into the bar there was a group of people eating there own food out of Tupperware containers. The coffee cup was filthy. The banquette was full of holes and the restaurant was so univong we are contemplating going to the marriott down the road for dinner. The selection of films looked good on a positive note. For £200 for a one night stay with no breakfast. We were hoping for better than that. I can't remember the last time we complained about anything but seeing how disappointing this is for us and how often we use Holiday Inn we felt we had to draw this to your attention. 31 December 2013

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Filton whilst on business quite frequently in 2013 and I can honestly say I have never experienced customer service like this. Not one of my requests was too much trouble and I was greeted every morning and every evening with a smile. A big thank you to all the staff and to the management for training their staff to such an incredibly high standard. 23 December 2013

Only stay the night as we where visiting family in Bristol, but the staff was friendly and knowledgable. Also this hotel has security parking, which is great to know that my car was safe during my stay. Finally love the view from my room, overlooking the pond. 18 December 2013
