Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay and great staff! Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely breakfast, coffee constantly being topped up. We were upgraded to an executive room as there was a party that evening in the hotel and reception stressed they didn't want us to be disturbed - fantastic ! Only negative issue was the room was very hot and we were unable to control the temperature as it was centrally overridden when we tried to turn it down. When mentioned on leaving , reception were concerned and mentioned that this already had been flagged up by other guests and they were going to get the heating engineer to investigate. This is the only reason why I have given 4 stars for room and comfort and sleep quality but I don't want this to reflect on a future guest not to book here, the staff are so good I am sure this issue will be resolved for the future. 22 November 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Small Families Holidays - Pre-Christmas Party Weekend We are a specialist tour operator (single parent holidays) and held our pre-Christmas party weekend at the hotel. We had 60 people in the group and the weekend was a great success. The facilities were perfect and all the staff, without exception, looked after us very well and nothing was too much trouble, even with a bunch of sometimes 'challenging' children. Our thanks go out to the reception staff, James, Jensen, John, Clare, Laura and all their staff for all their hard work and smiles. 18 November 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by No free wifi - worse than macdonalds Room was ok, friendly staff, but NO free wifi. Incredible. Macdonalds and supermarkets and trains have free wifi, for a hotel I expect no less 16 November 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by One big fault Everything was fine here except for the restaurant where we received the worst service I can remember experiencing. Four people dined. Two main courses were served. Five minutes later the other two were served. One diner had no knife. Dirty plates were left on the table until we asked for them to be removed. Half of them were then removed, the other half left. Desserts were served with no cutlery. When the ice cream was nearly melted, the two dessert eaters started to eat using teaspoons. Eventually two dessert spoons were plonked on a corner of the. table without a word. Whisky was served when brandy had been ordered, with unwanted ice which ruined it anyway. It was as if the staff had never been inside a restaurant, let alone worked in one. The reception staff were excellent. 13 November 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable base I was attending a conference in Histon. The hotel was nearby. It was comfortable and the staff were friendly. If they allowed small dogs I would have bought my wife and our dog which would have increased IHG's profit from my stay. Perhaps the pet policy should be reviewed. 11 November 2014
