Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Staff very friendly and helpfully The bedrooms were nice, clean, big and new looking, I hired a room in the Academy for 3 days. The staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for you, the room again was perfect for what I needed I even won a 1000 points extra on their spin to win wheel (although I haven't seen them added yet) which was fun. The food was lovely and service again excellent May 12, 2015

So I am very keen to say how great I thought the hotel was when I stayed this weekend to attend a family reunion. The rate was very affordable and included breakfast and dinner for a family room. The facilities were perfect for families, the pool was a good size and was very clean and well kept. The rooms were a good size and very clean and comfortable. The staff were wonderful, very attentive and friendly and were great with the children! The food was of a very good standard, especially the wonderful breakfast on Sunday morning. We will certainly be back next year. May 12, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great short stay Very pleasant stay after meeting family in Cambridge. Didn't use the gym or pool due to lack of time but facilities did look inviting. Staff very good and hard to criticise. Bedroom warm, beds comfortable, bar decent with reasonable choice of drinks. No complaints at all. Would recommend and would stay again. May 9, 2015

As a Platinum Member of their Rewards Club (already achieved this again for 2015/6) I know one of the promises they publish is to have a room upgrade if available. This rarely occurs for me in practice so this year I ask for the upgrade and when I am told it is not available as in this case I always then check on-line if a I could book an upgrade room for the same period of stay and take a screenprint of the answer (to produce at the Trading Standards office in December to get their view on the Platinum Member benefits advertised). In this case upgrade rooms were available to book so being a Platinum Member obviously does not count at this hotel. Indeed to further show their appreciation for my 'loyalty' which they thanked me for at reception when booking in I was given a room on the upper floor at the back of the hotel and so had to haul my heavy suitcase up two flights of stairs after a long journey along corridors and even outside at one point. Many of the adjacent rooms were being refurbished so I had to endure drilling in the room next to me when I was trying to work on my computer. They also offer free 'standard' Wi-Fi but this is not a good speed - to get what I would call business Wi-Fi speed I would have to pay a large amount of money for a service offered free in virtually all other hotel chains I use.
