Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT HOTEL - FRIENDLY AND COMFORTABLE I BOOKED THIS HOTEL FOR MY HUSBANDS' 70th BIRTHDAY WEEKEND, INCLUDING ALL THE FAMILY. WE HAD A LOVELY TIME THERE, IT WAS VERY RELAXED AND COMFORTABLE. THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS THE HEATING IN THE ROOMS. CONSEQUENTLY, WE DID NOT SLEEP WELL, EVEN AFTER TRYING TO TURN DOWN THE HEATING, IT STILL CAME ON AGAIN. APART FROM THAT, WE HAD A GREAT WEEKEND. STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND ROOMS LOVELY AND CLEAN. 18 December 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great customer service! This hotel is good value. The staff make every effort to ensure guests needs are met and offer a very friendly and personal service that I have not seen in more expensive hotels - they go 'the extra mile'. Whilst the hotel is a little dated and in need of some improvement, this is more than made up for by great customer service and a comfortable night sleep at reasonable rates. The restaurant food is generally good quality also, espeically breakfast! 12 December 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Needs Improvement The hotel is well located on the outskirts of Chester near to the Park and Ride. It is a property that is tired and in need of refurbishment. The heating in the room was excessive and could not be turned off. However the boiler then broke which resulted in a room with an acceptable temperature but no hot water which took over 12 hours to be remedied. Breakfast service was chaotic with no apparent preparedness for the number of guests booked into the hotel. The staff did their best but were let down by the hotel's organisation. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. This is not the best hotel in the Holiday Inn stable. 09 December 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable Bed Stayed for two nights and found the room we were allocated to be extremely comfortable and clean. There were twin beds each of which was the size of a small double and although the mattresses were quite soft they were very comfortable. The hotel is on a main road and the bus stops for Chester and the return are right outside the hotel we did not use the car during the time we stayed as the buses ran every 10 to 15 minutes in the day and every 30 minutes in the evenings. Even in the rush hour it only took 15 minutes to get into the centre of the City. I would recommend this hotel if you want a comfortable place to stay within easy reach of Chester City Centre. 03 December 2014
