Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Evening Receptionist The evening receptionist was excellent she dealt with the booking error, not The Holiday Inn fault, promptly and efficiently, however the morning receptionist did not and was quite rude. The bedroom was excellent however the bed was far to hard for me, this was my second stay and my second bad nights sleep 16 July 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Rooms a bit variable, good facilities Our room was not as good as others, our bathroom was a bit dated and the power shower wasn't very powerful. The bar, breakfast and pool were good. We were meant to be sitting together as a large group for breakfast however there wasn't enough space and we also had to wait for food at the buffet. The sleep was not so great as we could hear a train line. The location suited us and the staff were very friendly. 16 July 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by comfort of room found the room to be comfortable and well equipped. The bed was a bit small, used to kingsize! Children running up and down corridor late at night a nuisance but not really fault of hotel. Lovely light excluding curtains meant we did not get awakened by sunshine blaring in. 16 July 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Poor second bed in guest room, average service Sofa bed was terrible, and my daughters ended up not being able to sleep - we switched bed, and 1" mattress on the sofa bed is not acceptable. Very uncomfortable. We had an even more restless night due to a party being held for a wedding, with people passing room over the 11:00pm to 2pm time period, fine in their world, but we were trying to sleep for an early start. Once quiet, we slept despite above aforementioned bed issues, then went for showers. 3 people (2 x teenage daughters) and only 2 towels available in the "family" room. Went for breakfast - told it was not included, contrary to the check in queries the night before - eventually sorted as they excluded them from the final bill, of which I was pleased, since the hot breakfast menu was rubbish, no eggs, no bacon, little that was left was obviously under the heat lamps for months... no chef available in our short time frame to wait for fresh to be cooked. Went to Macdonalds for a breakfast wrap after a coffee (that was a good coffee BTW) 16 July 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bee4 We received the warmest welcome at this hotel.(Indre hope I spelt her name right)the receptionist on duty was so helpful and friendly with a lovely warm personality.We had a very comfortable stay for 2 nights.Good breakfast plenty of choice available.My husband loved the pool and sauna.Would stay here again. 15 July 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Facility The staff member on reception was excellent, probably the best I have ever come accross. She was professional, cheerful and very welcoming. The pool and facilites associated with it were excellent and had good opening hours. The only downside was there were no vending facilites for drinks or snack and although they were available in the room, they were typically very expensive. 10 July 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good place to stay. Nicely situated off the A12 made the hotel a good place to stop. Just half a mile away is a mega Sainsbury's for more than just bits and bobs. Staff are friendly and engaging. The bar is well staffed and service is good. Breakfast is buffet style and plentiful, with a chef to cook your eggs in front of you, so they're fresh so to speak. Room is average for the price, sofa was dirty and shower didn't work, and consumables not replenished every day, reported it to the desk, she seemed indifferent to the feedback. 08 July 2014
