Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn - Coventry South The Hotel - Some of the bedrooms is a little dated & could do with some redecoration / modernising, however, they are kept clean & tidy. The Staff - No complaints here, they were all friendly and happy to help. One member of staff in particular stood out, the lady working in the bar / restaurant (Lisa) as she was very helpful when I was asking about the different dishes and went to check for me. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Didn't Quite hit the Mark I was at the hotel on a business trip, so the hotel is in a prime location for gaining easy access to main roads. The hotel overall is clean and the staff very friendly. While my room was clean, tidy and maintained, it was freezing cold. There was no hearing system other than a wall heater, but it wasnt working. Even so, the heater did not look adequate for the size of the room. I ended up having to use the other duvet from the extra bed. In the breakfast room, we were asked by the waiter to sit anywhere we liked, unfortunatly all of the tables were unclean. The food was of a good standard, however, I did have to keep asking the waiter to replenish food stocks, for example, there was no bread left, no eggs, no clean bowls for cereal. It could be this was a one off, which I hope is the case as the hotel is in an excellent location. 12 April 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Staff friendly and helpful Even though we only stayed one night I was impressed by the friendliness and helpful staff. Our room was comfortable. My only negative is that I feel the hotel needs a bit of sprucing up and our bathroom needed up-dating. The breakfast choice was really good. 09 April 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Poor service This is not up to the standard I have come to expect from Holiday Inn which is always my chosen place to stay, There is no lift and so two senior citizens were put upstairs at the furthest point from the stairs and the receptionist never offered to help with luggage. The expensive breakfast was sufficient but not as plentiful as other places, considering it is completely self service it could be a little cheaper. 03 April 2015

The decor was scuffed in a few places as expected. Breakfast was good and tasty and the breakfast options good. 30 March 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Passing gall stones is more pleasant Quite simply book somewhere else. The rooms are spacious but dark and gloomy The restaurant food is shocking (unless you like dairy lea processed cheese slices) and the bar is astonomically overpriced if you like wine or soft drinks. There are no real leisure facilities, barring the gym cupboard which affords only three people at a time the luxury of sweating over each other in claustrophobic conditions. There is nowhere to walk to from the hotel, you are a captive audience and this will be taken advantage of. 30 March 2015
