Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Really comfortable and great value I had never stayed in a Holiday Inn property before and wrongly didn't expect such a high standard. So, I was delighted to be warmly welcomed into a very pleasantly decorated hotel (good free parking on site too). My room was really spacious and comfortable with view onto open fields and very quiet which is exactly what I'd requested. Free internet access was also provided. All the staff I same in contact with were extremely pleasant and helpful and there was a comfortable restaurant/bar area which was reasonably priced. The rate was very good value for what I received. Es benötigt 5 Minuten bis unter der Dusche warmes Wasser kommt und der Wasserdruck ist zu niedrig. WLAN funktionierte gar nicht und das Niveau des Frühstück war nicht eines Holiday Inn würdig. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CAN'T PRAISE TOO HIGHLY - A REFRESHING CHANGE I sometimes think I'm too critical of the hotels I stay in; however, in the case of this hotel, I can offer nothing but praise! From the signing in, to the signing out the following morning, I couldn't fault a thing. The staff, without exception were GREAT! The rooms were very well presented and I was made to feel as if I were home - actually, that's not correct - let's be honest - I was made to feel better than I'm made to feel when at home; less dogs, cats, Grand-children (I know but before Grand-children are 'given back', they can be a real pain .........). I have stayed in four different IHG hotels this week and have spent more nights in IHG hotels than I have spent at home, and this was the best stay away for many, many a month since. So, well done! My reason for believing I know what I'm talking about? Hotel Managers' training at Claridges (London) many years ago and owning my own small group of hotels. Thank you. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A hidden Gem Perched on the edge of the A45 is a brick built hotel, it doesn't look great maybe a little shabby, but once you get through the main door its superb. A large room awaits, comfortable bed, clean bathroom and a great bar area, maybe some sofas would make it more relaxing. The bar menu and restaurant menu can be eaten in both the bar or restaurant. It is a great menu superb cooking with good ingredients, staff always helpful. I have been to this hotel twice in the year and while it looks on the outside a little shabby inside its great, as I said above a hidden gem. If it was me I would clean up outside and render the brickwork then paint it magnolia. I think it may be the dated exterior that keeps this hotel nice and quiet. The staff are absolutely superb here, they always have time for you, and make you feel like anything you ask is no problem. Its what I want when staying in a hotel, Thank you. April 6, 2016
