Every Hotel could do with some body like her on the staff. She is like a breath of fresh air. The rest of the staff were very good but she stood out. 20 March 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 5th Stay here This was our 5th stay here as part of a group weekend, it is very convenient for travelling to, near the motorways. Whilst everything is comfortable about this hotel, public areas and rooms, the bedrooms are so so small, with not much room to move around when there are two people. There are two big chairs in the room, which there is not enough room for, one has to be wedged between the window and the bed. I was disappointed that the barman did not accept my complimentary drinks voucher the first visit to the bar, however after the receptionist spoke to barman, it was accepted for a drink later on. We would be happy to stay here again 20 March 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good hotel as long as there aren't any functions Very handy location a good breakfast - although don't touch the black pudding, excellent pool and leisure facilities. Most staff are very friendly especially the breakfast staff and the cleaners. Kids eat free - however the restaurant doesn't open until 6.30pm. If you are unlucky to arrive on the same night as a function you may well be kept awake all night by people partying in the corridors, and don't expect the staff to be that bothered. 13 March 2014

The gym is small but with a good range of equipment and a decent swimming pool. The bar & restaurant are good with attentive staff and decent quality food. The room was cream and comfortable and quiet for a good sleep. 09 March 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice rooms, great staff, shame about the food I've stayed here many times, and would recommend it to anyone. But this time I arrived earlier than normal, and chose to eat in the restaurant for the first time, taking advantage of one of the meal deals. Mistake. Slow service, lukewarm or cold food and an inedible blackberry and apple pie - you needed a hammer to break through what was described as pastry ! Apart from that, clean, comfortable room, excellent leisure facilities and no problems. I'm booked in again for 2 weeks time, I'll just eat before I get there. 07 March 2014

Last visit, the bar ran out of Pinot Grigio and then the staff tried to fob me off with something different without telling me! Insult to my Intelligence. This visit the bar had run out of Stella. This was substituted by Becks. The Bar staff were serving pints of beer (Becks) with no head so it looked liked cold tea! My husband was given a pint glass with a bottle of peroni. The waiting and bar staff lacked training and did not understand the problem when questioned about the above. If you are going to charge 10% service make sure that the service is good. With technology today, how can a big hotel chain run out of major items. 28 February 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel I was very impressed with the hotel, the meal deal was excellent value, 2 courses and 2 drinks for £20.00. The pool and facilities were excellent. The only problem we had was that we had a double bed and a double sofa bed. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable as you could feel all the springs. 27 February 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ideak week end We stayed as 3 couples for night of 22nd February and had an excellent experience. Check in was good the rooms were all next to one another with complimentary bottle of wine. We decided to eat in the restaurant and 6 people ordered 6 different items all arrived at the table at the same time and each person said the food and presentation were excellent. The room we were in had a couple of loose fittings, the screws just needed retightening. We slept well and the breakfast in the morning was excellent, all of the staff we met were friendly and professional. Our trip was tremendous value and we certainly plan to stay again when we next visit the area 26 February 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 3 people in room - cater for 3 people!! Why when there are 3 people in the room and the room has been made up for 3 people, you only cater for 2 peole to have tea and coffee. I had to ask for extra tea/ coffee/milk and a mug. The next day the extra mug had been taken away from the room and again I had to ask for it back with tthe extra tea etc 23 February 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Hotel, Convenient Location Had a two night stay in a double room. Room was clean. Bed was a little too soft for my liking but choice of pillows is nice. The heating/ventilation fan was a bit disturbing. Check in was easy and reception staff friendly & polite. As an IHG member it was nice to receive a complimentary newspaper. I was a bit disappointing that they ran out of regular coffee for the room on our last morning. The main downside to this hotel is the lack of free wifi. This hotel was convenient for our visit and we managed to get a good room rate by booking early. Would consider staying again. 21 February 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Adequate A little tired and dated. Did the job though not memorable. Gym and pool a plus and helpful staff there. Room service fries sadly cold, should have mentioned but I was very hungry when it arrived. Complete confusion at breakfast as after a cheery welcome, the mood changed when my name wasn't on the somewhat disorganised list. Reception indeed confirmed my rate included breakfast, but still seem to have been charged, guess i will challenge that later. I would avoid room 242 as the window was literally opposite the spa traffic, I appreciate you don't always get a platinum upgrade, but honestly at least provide some privacy. 09 February 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Impressed We have been stopping at this hotel three/four times a year for the last ten years . It's convient for us to visit friends / relatives. It's so apparent to us that there have been a number of changes for the better to the hotel recently . There is now a " Smokers area " away from the front door . This is something we have been commenting on for years , the Traders Resturant has had a makeover , making it much more user friendly and warm . The Lounge / Bar area with new and re located seating is now warm and welcoming . The staff are always so friendly , must name two , Dawn who is one of the Breakfast staff and CJ who works in the Bar, they have both been at the hotel for a number of years and certainly go out of their way to ensure that the " customer " checks out of the hotel satisfied . We will continue to stay at the hotel in the future. Thank you. 09 February 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great service and excellent food I enjoyed my stay on 3rd and 4th of February. Staff were very friendly and helpful . The food was very good. I had the Indian Banquet on the first night and it offered a varied range of starters and mains. The second night was a Carvery and once again the food was of a high standard. I would recommend a stay here on my experience over the 2 nights. 08 February 2014

During this stay the staff at this hotel were friendly and helpful and went out of their way in making our stay as pleasant as possible. The room was clean and comfortable. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Uncomfortable Bed Love this Hotel as it is a great location, and the service from Staff is fantastic. Bedrooms always clean and tidy, excellent. The bed is so uncomfortable, smaller than a double, your feet stick out, soft mattress. So soft, when you just sit on the bed, you slide off. Menu could be improved, more choice of curries. Otherwise, no problems. Yes, will return again next year. 07 February 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Coventry Stay Good check in with no problems. Myself and some friends decided to stay here for a friends birthday in the city centre. Easy to find and to get to, rooms were fine even though it felt like a bit of a maze in some areas :) I slept soundly without any issues, room was fine with all amenities expected along with being clean and tidy. The only thing would be that the bathroom was a little "small" and quite dated. For example at 6"1 which seems to be an average height these days, I did not even attempt to fit in the bath :( 04 February 2014

The bar and restaurant areas are comfortable and spacious and the rooms are clean and well fitted out. Food was also very good and the friendliness of the staff as with all the IHG hotels i have stayed with is excellent. 04 February 2014
