Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by No place for rest and not for business I have never had to complain in all my years of being a IHG Platinum member. I decided to stay here as an IHG member for a recent return to the UAE for business. The main issue I have is the lack of Customer Service and proactivity of the staff. As the hotel rates are quite high, the level of service is quite low. One day I left a tip on my bed. I returned many hours later with the room unserviced and the tip gone. My room was serviced once I complained but the duty manager was unresponsive until I pushed as to why the tip was taken. A bottle of wine was offered for compensation. Unfortunately the wine would have been undelivered if I didn't call down nearly 2 hours later asking if it was ever going to arrive. The next day my room was serviced. I then discovered that my laundry bag had been taken without my request (no form filled in). I complained and had the laundry bag returned. The assumption had been that I may have wanted it cleaned but they weren't sure. The took it 'just in case' and forgot to send me a letter. I had a very expensive work shirt in with the items and was glad to see it returned. Other issues: Pool and Steam/Sauna to a poor standard. Apparently you need to give them 30 minutes to allow the Steam/Sauna to warm up. Cleaning the bathroom: bad odours from mop left in the bathroom after cleaning. IHG Members Free Internet: have to submit form that charges you a 'fee' and then have it re-imbursed at check out. Not explained at check-in. Basically, if your standard and expectations are low, then this hotel is for you. This is a 3 Star Hotel pretending to be 4 Star. Left the hotel everyday feeling I couldn't trust the staff nor the management to respond to concerns. Also had to lock everything up to ensure that my goods were safe and not tampered with by staff. 25 January 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Overall Experience Hi folks, yes it is not a bad place to stay for being in between all of Dubai. Make sure you get a room not directly over the night club or the indian club-otherwise you will be blasted out by the bass sound ungoing until very early morning.The service is great and staff is very attentive. Nach langer Nachtreise war das sehr angenehm und die perfekte Vorbereitung für den laufenden Tag! Zimmer sehr sauber und geräumig. Concierge Dienst sehr hilfsbereit und kompetent, sowie ganze Personal sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend ist. Kompliment! 24 January 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy hotel This is a good hotel with nice staff but the night club on the ground floor will keep you awake in the night. The vibrations from the music will continue to echo the entire night as the club closes around 3AM. I stayed there twice and tried different rooms, the problem always remains. Besides, if you are looking for a good breakfast, the menu is almost the same everyday even if the hotel staff will tell you that they change it everyday. It may be true that they change the menu a bit but the food tastes real bad. I will not be stayng there anymore mainly because of the noisy rooms but I must admit that I like their staff. 18 January 2015

As a hotel standard, the services from the hotel staff is commendable, starting trom the concierge and the reception. The hotel security is also worhty of my praise, except for some security guards who does not acknowledge your presence. 18 January 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Family Leisure Stay on Points We normally try to stay at the Intercon being a Platinum Ambassador but decided to give the Bur Dubai a try as it was a points stay. We were quite pleased with our stay. The Concierge went above and beyond his duty to insure our lost luggage was found, front desk staff attentive, and breakfast staff and food was fine. Would recommend this hotel. 18 January 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Holiday Inn ever From the robe, slippers and bath towels the size of New Jersey to the terrific decor, this HI screamed luxury. Tthe bed excellent and the service very nice. My room was noisy until the bar closed at 3:00 am and became noisy again at 5:00 when workers were preparing for breakfast. 16 January 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by More than expected! I recently spent 4 nights at this hotel and it exceeded my expectations, particularly based on Holiday Inn locations found in the United States. The staff was friendly and attentive to our needs, always treating us with great respect. Breakfast and dinner selections were great and offered a variety of foods for all tastes. I also found the fitness center to be very good, as it has more equipment than the average hotel "gym." We didn't have any problems during our stay but the one questionable thing was housekeeping. The cleanliness of our room was fine but certain things were hit or miss. One day we came back to find a dirty cleaning rag in one of the chairs and our bathroom trash can unemptied. It didn't appear that the bathroom counter or soap dish were ever wiped down while we were there. Also, on the last night of our stay, we were not given washcloths, as we had been the previous days. Luckily, we had our own. None of this was a deal-breaker for us, but we found it to be a bit odd. Overall, we had a very good stay. I even joined the IHG rewards program and am in the process of looking for a Holiday Inn to stay at during my upcoming trip to Canada. 15 January 2015
