Upgraded to Superior room. Only the bathroom has been refurbished and its very nice, however the rest of the room lets this hotel down.
The door to the room has seen better days with peeling paint and it rattles when closed. Wallpaper and paintings very old and scruffy looking. Floor boards are so squeaky its unreal.
On previous stays, service in the restaurant has been very slow and food only average.
Its currently being refurbished throughout so may my comments could be a little harsh. I will give it another go soon.

Decided to stay here for a chill-out stay over a weekend. Whilst it is obvious that this hotel is targeted at business users, the facilities available were of a very high standard, and suited our needs to a T. The location s only a 5 minute Taxi ride to the Old Village also, a real bonus.
The only thing to bear in mind is that there does not appear to be any free WiFi facility, hopefully this will follow soon. The room I stayed in was recently refurbished, and without fault. Overall a very good experience.

I stayed here for 2 night while going to a family wedding close by. The hotel was better then I expected. The staff friendly, room comfortable, food freshly cooked. All in all, a very pleasant stay and place to meet up with family.

This was a lovely hotel, the rooms really nice and modern, what let it down for me was the price of the drinks and restaurant menu and prices. I have stayed in a lot of holiday inns recently and all the others offered a set menu with a good choice and well priced. The East Kilbride restaurant was expensive, with no atmosphere , the chairs were awful, and the cheeseboard woeful.
Breakfast was being set up as we were still eating which for the prices we were paying was not good.
Also we tried to book a family room but none were left on website so had to book 2 rooms when the rooms were plenty large enough to take a third bed.
Will have to rethink our weekends away and look an Premier Inns.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Burgess1 Holiday Inn stay 28th June
As always I love the holiday inn, Clean rooms, Powerful shower, Comfortable bed and lovely breakfast. However this stay was disturbed by hammering and banging at 7:30am due to rooms being renovated adjacent to our room which is unacceptable, especially if you would like a lie in after a nights drinking in Glasgow.
I'm sure this was an isolated incident however we were not informed of this during check in
