Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disapointing in need of renovation The room was tired, cracked floor tile, antislip mat in the bath was very discoloured. In need of a coat of paint. The lighting in the room was poor, it was hard to work on my paperwork in the room. Seats in the dining room were uncomfortable as the springing had collapsed. The corridors need a referbishment. Not what you expect in this premium brand property, and the price charged. 22 May 2013

I always receive a warm welcome from the staff who all provide an excellent service, especially all those who work on reception, in the bar and in the restaurant. The food is always presented to a very high standard and tastes excellent. The rooms are comfortable and kept spotless by the cleaning staff who are also pleasant and always say hello when passing. Although the overall décor of the hotel could probably do with a refresh it is hard to find fault. It is this consistent quality and staff friendliness which makes it a pleasure to keep coming back. 17 May 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn East Kilbride Room size was excellent however; in accordance with other holiday-inn hotels the furniture and TV was very dated. Also the firdge in the room was very smelly when opened. Overall ok stay for the price. Was charged double for breakfast but staff quickly amended and refunded my Card. 29 April 2013

Room heating system was slow to respond. TV system was pretty outdated but worked adequately. The tap on our basin was totally unattached to the basin unit. 15 April 2013

Television could do with an upgrade picture quality was poor. Wifi in room was not very good, hit and miss. All the staff we spoke to were very friendly and the facilities and spa were very good. The party was superb thanks mainly to the Wonderful staff. A large number of relatives stayed one or more nights without a hint of a problem. Thanks again to the staff. 12 April 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Reasonable value We stayed three nights this time. Staff were very helpful, room was clean and comfortable but a bit on the cold side. Pillow quality could be better. Breakfast was pretty standard as was the food in the restaurant in the evening although the 321 meal was excellent value. The hotel is looking very dated and could do with a face lift and something definitely needs to be done about the wifi. 08 April 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Wifi Access I have recently spent three weeks at the hotel. The main reason I selected the hotel was due to working nearby. The hotel itself is fine, the staff were good and the leisure facilities are excellent. The one negative point for me (and I appreciate that it wouldn't be an issue for some people) was that their is no Wifi in many of the bedrooms. The bedrooms near the reception have Wifi but the others don't get a signal. I was told a number of times that he engineer was attending the next day to fix this but still no joy. I was told that I was welcome to sit in the bar/reception and log in but this isn't always suitable when your working. On the plus side the Wifi was free when you can get it:-) My point is if WiFi is important to you ask for a bedroom near reception or check if that engineer ever got there. 23 March 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Poor room but great service I had to change the room due to defective heating and nonworking WiFI-service but even the next room does not offer WIFI. I had to sit late in the lobby for any kind of work. The service people told me that they had already informed the provider. The WIFI-service in the rooms of my colleagues did work. The rusty shower head broke in my hands and a jet of water filled the bath room. The defect shower head was then replaced until the evening. 19 March 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great room & gym but let down by poor breakfast Have stayed here several times due to its location close to my colleagues offices. I rate this hotel highly compared to other Holiday Inn's I have used. However the breakfast, which has always been limited in choice and poorly presented, has become unacceptable. One my last visit the choice of fruit has been further reduced, the pastries were past their best and the cooked selection looked very stale and unappetising. 06 March 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very helpful and friendly staff My son and I were on a trip back to to Scotland and we chose this hotel for it's location (close to family) and because it has a swimming pool. Our room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Staff were very friendly - after checking out I dropped my son's passport outside and the staff were very quick to let us know so that we could go back and get it and still be in time for our flight. The swimming pool is a definite plus - especially when you are 10 years old. We only had breakfast in the hotel - the food was well cooked. The choice was however not overwhelming but maybe that says more about how spoilt we all are nowadays than anything else! The staff again were very friendly and service was efficient. I would recommend this hotel and would use it again. 25 February 2013

There were many comments on how well organised the staff were which ensured that the day flowed and the service at the meal and bar were first class. The food was delicious and everyone’s needs were catered for, and the rolls at the evening buffet just hit the spot. When it came to change the room from a dining room to the “dance” hall everyone mucked in to lay the floor and arrange the tables in no time at all. This is a first class venue for such occasions and I wish you every success in the New Year. Please convey my thanks to your staff and wish them all a very happy new year from my wife and I. It's a shame that beyond the foyer/reception that the hotel is in need of a good makeover. Spend some money Holiday Inn and charge us a bit more money for it!! 02 January 2013

Unfortunately I had to inform the hotel that we had been delayed, and eventually reached the hotel at 01:00 in the morning. One of the night staff came out to the car park and helped us into reception with our luggage, where a 2nd staff member quickly and efficiently aided our check in. We were then helped to our room which had been suitably heated. I must commend both members of the night staff who assisted us which was very much appreciated, Well done. For the remainder of our stay all members of staff we came into contact with, both hotel and restaurant, were extremely friendly and helpful. Thank you. 02 January 2013

Each time check in is very slow as there is usually only one person on reception and there is nearly always a queue. The rooms could definitely do with an update. Furniture out-dated. My room this time was freezing cold and despite asking at reception for temperature to be turned up there was no improvement. Worst of all, I had to ask for more toilet paper. I have never had to do this in a hotel before. There were two rolls in the bathroom both of which only had a couple of sheets left on each when I arrived. Also in bathroom the soap dispenser was empty and the only alternative was the shower gell dispenser! A bit inconvenient each time you want to wash your hands. I had a meal in the restaurant, it wasn't busy but had to wait 25mins for my order to be taken ....... Food was lovely though but had I known it would be so long to order I would have ordered room service. Dissappointed with overall experience this time. 10 December 2012

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice enough hotel but needs updating. This is a nice enough hotel but they really need to get rid of the old TV cabinets and television sets. Are they waiting to see if flat screens take off or not? The TV cabinet door in my room wouldn't stay open so I could only see half of the undersized screen. The restaurant food is over priced for the standard of food served. The Health club is very good. 15 November 2012
