I have stayed in this hotel many times through work so my review is based on a number of visits.
The hotel is tired and long past it's best. Yes, the rooms are being updated - in fact every day of my last stay I've had to step over and around builders, tools and materials - but for the kind of money being charged, the rooms are a disgrace.
The shower gel and handwash in my room were virtually empty and had to be removed from their dispensers to get them to work and in the refurbished rooms, the toiletries are not refreshed daily. And nor are the hot drinks and sugar.
I also feel that it's sad that IHG don't even bother to supply biscuits in the room. Very shoddy penny-pinching and the kind of issue that makes the seasoned traveller think twice about the value of their custom.

I stay in this hotel whenever i am in Scotland for business. The hotel is showing signs of undergoing works, but disappointed with the room as heating didnt work and cleaners hadnt done their job properly. Staff were excellent and resolved as much as they could.
Internet kept dropping out, especially when i needed it at the end of the day.
