Booked 2 rooms as travelling with family, hotel ensured rooms were close as we had a young child in the party. Food was very nice, only criticism was bacon not very warm at breakfast. Quite noisy in the night with other guests doors slamming shut and we found the bed very hard - both of us waking up with back ache - but that could just be our age!! Overall, very nice hotel and I would recommend it. 26 August 2014

This hotel has offered the best value for money, food and service of those we have used so far. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by All-round excellence Several friends and family stayed at The holiday Inn, Eastleigh last weekend, following my daughter's 30th Birthday Party. The staff were very friendly and welcoming from the minute we walked in the door to the minute we left! They set the party room up for us as there had been a meeting in there until 2 hours before, which was such a help. Food for the buffet during the evening was delicious, varied and fresh! Bar staff lovely too! The room was clean and comfortable, we slept very well - the curtains are brilliant at keeping out the early morning sun! Breakfast was the only let-down - the bacon, sausages and black pudding were all rather dry/ overcooked. But the rest was fine! Will have no hesitation in recommending or returning at a later date!! 16 July 2014

Only snag was it took an awfully long time to get a starbuck's coffee late morning, nobody around then the waitress didn't know what an Americano was and had to get help, she was new in the role though! 01 July 2014

Thought I would upgrade from usual chain hotel as a birthday treat to myself and arrived to find what I thought was a full-price room discounted for booking 21 days in advance, did not have breakfast included. Was then informed no free Wi-Fi at all. Informed it would be available wef 1.7.14 - not much help on 24th June. Fortunately room was clean and comfortable with effective air-con. 30 June 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient for motorway and southampton The first impression of our room was it needed the carpet cleaned, marks on it, didnt appear too clean, and one of the walls could have used a coat of paint. However, overall, the room was OK and was suitable to our purposes. We wanted a reasonably priced room for our stay and thats what we got. Just make sure you take your own pillows! Theirs are as hard as nails 25 June 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable hotel but poor breakfast service Two out of the three breakfasts were really really poor. Breakfast on the Sunday was awful. There were queues to be seated, there wasn't any hot food, there were no plates and I was told at 09:10 that there were no scrambled eggs - not what I expect from a holiday Inn. In fact, while my wife and I were in the queue for hot food, our table was cleared and re-laid ready for the next guest! We ordered poached eggs which took an age to arrive and then one of them wasn't cooked properly. This is a really nice example of a Holiday Inn Hotel it's such a shame it was let down by a the worst breakfast service I've had at a Holiday Inn. 20 June 2014
